Final Fantasy VIII remade for the Playstation 3 would certainly be a marvel by any gamer's standards.

FF8 takes my vote for best music. I especially love Ultimecia's castle theme, perfectly fits the environment of the castle.

I'm actually glad that Versus was not featured at E3 because it's better if the creators don't rush its production. It may have the potential to surpass ffXIII and I certainly hope it does through a long hard thought-out plot and an intricate battle system to compliment the out-of-game...
