XIII's Battle theme was actually pretty good, but yeah, overall XIII's OST just wasn't as good as other games'. (Of course, if my hunch is right, XIV's battle theme(s) are gonna one-up that anyway.)
Still, not knowing that vocal track's name is gonna bother me until SE reveals it. :hmmm:
YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES
....ahem.
I've been hoping they would release this game in the US ever since they announced it, and while I'm not too happy about them dropping the Final Fantasy title I'm still glad it's coming. (By that, I mean I'm actually more interested in this than in any of...
This announcement in a nutshell: *headdesk*
Seriously, this barely even has anything to do with Square Enix, why would he even tweet it to people who most likely don't even care?
I'm gonna be cautious here, cuz I don't wanna start a shitstorm and this is prime shitstorm bait. All I'll say is that it's because I don't agree with the idea that "[Final Fantasy VII] is definitely the best FF" and see it far too often.
Moving on, welcome aboard the forums, newcomer. May...
Welcome to the forums, and to answer your questions:
I personally think that VII being remade before V or VI would be a horrible injustice, because, if you think about it all the full remakes (not counting ports and such) thus far have been in order of original release. First was FFI+II on...
I, for one (and I'm probably the only one), am hoping for this to be a US release for that Four Warriors of Light game on the DS.
Of course, since that's probably never going to happen, something about a V or VI remake or maybe more XIV info would be neat too. I just hope they don't decide to...
I'm pretty sure the whole PS3 thing was just somebody mis-reading something, since you can still purchase and download PSP games from PSN on the PS3, but still need to transfer them to the PSP to actually play them.
When you carry a shiny rock expecting to get magical powers from it (numerous games).
When you hold a piece of paper with a picture on it above your head expecting to gain magical powers from it (XI).
When you punch yourself in the face and expect get stronger (II).
When you get bored of work...
Hmm... All I've got is...
II: "Dark Shadow of Palamecia" (Remember the subtitle of the unreleased US NES version?)
IX: "Resurrection" (because it was a "resurrection" of the approach JRPGs took on the SNES)
XI: "Tales from Vana'Diel" (self-explanatory)
XI had its share of steampunk elements, and I think XIV will be moreso, but if we're talking about single player games then I agree that I'd like to see a setting like VI's or IX's in XV.
Huh. I've always thought that Namco (due to its Tales series) considered SE a mortal nemesis or something. Well, it's not like it means much for the game anyway, probably just another port.
I don't think it has anything to do with FFXI, there isn't any "Abyssea" present in the game's story, unless I missed something important or am not that far yet. Or they're gonna shoehorn it into the game and pretend it's been there all along; it wouldn't be the first time.
I'll just cover who I'd like to see added, because I already want the whole current cast making a comeback.
FFI- Another WoL, someone more magic-based.
FFII- Leon and Maria.
FFIII- Ummm... dang, I dunno, maybe one of the remake characters.
FFIV- Kain, maybe Tellah
FFV- Faris, Gilgamesh
FFVI-...
