If you look on your world map, and get yourself on an ocean chocobo, and go to the exact point where the shimmering Isles were, and dig there. Also, the Chocobos Paradise chocobos tell you other secret stuff.

I missed Carbuncle from edea... I was pissed, but then I found out you got him from some other sub boss later.

I just used the same party I used for Jumbo Cactuar and Tonberry King, and I was sorted! Quite easy, though admittedly I looked up a guide... 8)

I loved it. You may not, as you're more into the more medicore system that IX uses, but I think that VII was amazing. Granted, I much prefered IX, but that doesn't really matter. Try it, and once you're past the annoying Midgar bit, you'll love it
