You can beat any character if you can predict their moves and react accordingly, with Cloud you can't be hasty. You've got to wait until Chaos attacks, then block and counterattack, repeatedly doing this will ensure victory.

The music I play is Man With the Machine Gun whenever I'm playing as Squall (main). I play Battle With The Four Fiends when playing as Golbez and One Winged Angel when playing as or against Sephiroth. I don't know why but I always play more in sync with a character when I have their music on.

I tended to use ashe more than anyone, I often had to switch out characters to keep my 4 main people equally levelled. But Ashe was my healer and you always need a healer so I kept her out more.
