you're saying there were no sidequests? basically getting every single GF was a sidequest or at least kind of secret (drawing from bosses). without a guide i think the only GFs you'd probably have would be the starting three (counting ifrit). but i'll agree that the main characters were great...

I would love to see a movie about the time between the lives of characters at the orphanage and their lives at the garden. Also I would like a remake for the DS just cuz that's the only console I own besides the PSone lol =)

i loved the game although it was the first final fantasy i had ever played so that may be why it's my favorite. i really liked the characters and the GFs too (even though they were kind of cheap). It was just a great game

well i've only played the ds version of this and it was pretty cool actually. i didn't really grow attached the characters since you could change the job classes and stuff but i really did like the job classes even if it took away from the story. it was lots of fun having basically 20 different...

yeah i did that for most of the caverns just to get a couple of extra items that i wouldn't actually use later on in the game lol. i definitely searched 100% in the final cavern but that was only to get to the secret weapons and stuff

Imo the game was really bad. Well I've only played the DS version, but I really didn't like the characters and so yeah...It's really hard to get attached to the game when the other final fantasies have characters and plots that actually draw you into the game

well when i was going for the final weapons i thought those were the easier bosses =) i was really scared that the doom bat thingy was gonna kill me with the doom/haste combo but besides that i don't think he actually attacked but i don't think he actually attacked so i continuously pounded him...

sry but i didn't get attached to this game at all. i really didn't like the characters (especially cecil and edward) and if you hate the main character of the game then the game becomes pretty lame...only time i got emotional was when the game was finally over after like 40 - 50 hrs of gameplay...

Honestly I use a guide whenever I have to find a new town or find anything that's located in the overworld. It's such a hassle flying around the world just to find a tiny town or a remote location with a key or something. I actually basically played through FFVIII with a guide the entire time...

Well it's not up there but I really liked the Cloud and Tifa couple. Although I felt really sad when Aeris died, I still felt that Cloud and Tifa made a better couple. Also, I really liked the Squall and Rinoa couple, but I hated using Rinoa in combat.

Definitely when I was fighting Ultimecia. I got my main party of Squall, Quistis, and Zell and after I cast Aura on Squall, I kept getting Lion heart and before I knew it, Ultimecia was dead...
