I personally liked the game. I'm already going for a second go on it. My sister told me that she thinks that Lighting reminds her of Squall from VIII. I actually liked that Lighting was a gun-blade. And she is in my opinion the best COM. I think it fit her well. Hope makes the best rav, and...

I mostly use Light, Fang, Hope for most of the game, until I get to the steppe (SP??). I switch back and forth to this party and Ligh, Sazh, and Vanille. I like the Bully system.

Personaly I love the game. I have just beat the main story line, and currently working on the side quest. I even want to go back and complete the story from the beginning agiain. Mind you it's the first Final Fantasy that I don't have my one friend spoiling it for me.

In my opinion, I perfer X. OUt of the two I think it had the best plot, and the battle system I enjoyed better, you leveled up as you fight. I forget what it's actually called, please don't quote, i think it's called level points (LP). But you recieve them as you go and you build up your grid...
