Seeing as how Terra and Kefka look fantastic on the PSP in Dissidia I can't imagine why they wouldn't make VI for the same system, I really hope this is something they're considering.
As for the remixed soundtracks, I'm imagining something like these...
A PSP remake would be a nice compromise between time and money needed for the remake and graphical quality. FF VI in Crisis Core graphics would be epic. You might be on to something.
As much as I would love a VI remake in full high quality graphics, I just don't see it happening. They're most likely going to do V and VI on the DS, the only game I think has a good chance for a full next gen remake is VII, due to its popularity.
I'd say it's pretty likely. They already remade III and IV, and both of those games sold pretty well, so the only logical thing for them to do is remake V and VI. I for one, am looking forward to an updated version of FF VI, when/if they release it, as I loved FF IV DS and consider it the best...
Yeah, Sephiroth is the child of Hojo and Lucrecia, he was the father and she was his biological mother. When Sephiroth was still just a fetus he was injected with Jenova cells, turning him into the perfect human/Jenova hybrid.
Angeal and Genesis had procedures that were similar, but a bit...
No, no, you're the one confusing things here. You said:
Which is entirely untrue. Friends are antagonists all the time in fiction. Friends are often rivals to the main character because they both compete in the same sport or have similar goals in the story. Sephiroth and Genesis are friends in...
Hold up there cowboy, you think friends can't be antagonists? Now I know you're confusing villain and antagonist. Friends are very, very capable of being antagonists in fiction. If a main characters friend has a rivalry with the protagonists, he's an antagonist, as he is opposing the...
You haven't put forward anything. Your entire argument boils down to, "nuh uh the definition is wrong." The definition you posted back's up my argument for goodness sakes. Jecht opposes and competes with the protagonist, this makes him an antagonist in every sense of the word. You then went off...
You haven't provided a definition though, and I've provided many. Jecht does oppose the party, he is Braska's Final Aeon, the final boss of the game for goodness sakes. The final boss of the game opposes the party, the fact that he is a big part of Sin means he opposes the party, he also is very...
*Sigh* This i starting to get on my nerves.
I could go on and on. An antagonist does not need to be a willing opponent, they merely need to oppose the heroes. Every dictionary definition I've looked up says nothing whatsoever of an antagonist needing to be evil or needing to want to hurt the...
I prefer Sephiroth. I prefer his character, and I feel he shows much better character development. I just love his transition from a generally nice guy to an arrogant killer with a god complex.
You can disagree all you want, but because Jecht opposes the protagonists, he fits the definition to a T. Willingness has nothing to do with it.
And Rufus and Seymour have the same role in the story. They are both major antagonists but they are not the most important in the game. Rufus and...
He was an antagonist, so he does make sense on Chaos side. Once again, they're picking antagonists to oppose the heroes, not just villains. Golbez isn't a villain either, he actually helps the Cosmos side throughout the story of Dissidia, but he makes more sense in the game than Zemus would...
That's the point though. Yu Yevon is the top antagonist, but he's a terrible choice. Jecht is second only to Yu Yevon in terms of magnitude of antagonism, plus he works great as he has a relationship with Tidus. Jecht is the clear choice here in my opinion, choosing Seymour would be like...
Jecht is Braska's Final Aeon, the true final boss of FF X. As such he is very much an obstacle to the protagonists. Yu Yevon wasn't really a boss fight as you couldn't lose against him, and he wouldn't have worked in Dissidia anyway, as he is not humanoid and has no connection to any of the...
Now you're just getting needlessly philosophical. Tidus hated Jecht. Jecht was Sin and Sin was the antagonist of the game, and as such Jecht was an antagonist. Its really that simple.
Once again, one has absolutely no need whatsoever to be evil, malicious, or even willing to be an antagonist...
Well its apparent that I'm not going to change your mind, but all the evidence we have points very clearly to her not attempting suicide until post Sephiroth's birth. I have given cold hard evidence, as this chain of events and Lucrecia's actions are in fact evidence, but if you still don't buy...
By your own definition Jecht is an antagonist though. Motivation or willingness isn't a factor in what makes an antagonist, its just one who opposes the protagonist. Jecht, both as Sin and Tidus' father, opposes the main characters throughout FF X.
I enjoyed most of the Crisis core arrangements of FF VII songs, but I didn't like the remix of the boss battle theme. The Summoned is crap compared to Those Who Fight Further.
But it does. If she was so upset over her involvement in the project that she was suicidal about it she most definitely wouldn't keep working on it. All the evidence says she tried to kill herself after Sephiroth was born.
