Hey.
Just bought FFXIV: ARR, and I've been running into issues. The screen is constantly flickering, with weird green-and-purple flashes all the time. What's going on, and is there any way of stopping it?
(I'm playing on a PC, if that helps)
Ah, Yume Nikki. I downloaded this game not too long ago, and have been finding it difficult to sleep at night ever since, for 2 reasons:
1: It's addictive, and sleeping often comes second to finding more secrets in Madotsuki's twisted dreams,
and 2: It's absolutely terrifying.
For the...
So, in your opinon, who is the best Final Fantasy villain we've had so far?
I haven't played enough of the games to really judge, but I'd possibly give the spot to Sephiroth (effortlessly cool, genuinely evil and damned badass), with Jenovah (Creepiest FF villain ever), Kefka (He becomes a...
A live-action FF film would be pretty damn cool. The question is, if they did make one, should it be made by a Japanese studio, or a Western studio?
Also, I think a traditionally-animated anime film would be pretty awesome. Maybe give it to Studio Bones or even Ghibli. If they did, they should...
It was my first FF, and as such I'm pretty fond of it. I'll agree it's no masterpiece, but I liked the characters (Lightning is probably one of the best FF protagonists we've had in a long time) and there's no denying that visually it was absolutely superb. Sure it's kinda crap, but I quite...
I'll be honest, I haven't played a large amount of RPGs. However, I do hope to change that. Hooray for emulators!
I have started playing Summon Night: Swordcraft Story, and so far I like it. The story is pretty damn cool, I love the concept and fighting style (even if Pratty does a casual...
One of the main criticisms of modern Final Fantasy is that too long is spent on the (admittedly brilliant) graphics, and not enough on the gameplay, making a large, explorable world, etc. Now obviously we want big open worlds and developed battle systems, but we don't want a game that looks...
I haven't seen the movie since I was 13, and even then it was on in the background and I didn't have a clue what was going on. I didn't realize it was a sequel, I thought it was just a retelling of the events of the game. I probably should watch it. Which is better, the original Japanese (which...
Meh. Twas merely a theory. I am not terribly experienced in matters of Final Fantasy, in fact I came to this forum to rectify that. Still, never mind.
What about my idea for the story? Any good, or cringeworthy fanfic material?
I dunno. I haven't even played X yet. I'm just going off rumours.
I remember something to do with a corporation from X going on to develop the Mako reactors in VII, or something like that.
All I know about X is Lulu's awesome belt dress and "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA."
I actually have a plan for the next FF title.
Rather than FFXV, I have an idea: Final Fantasy VII-2.
We've had prequels (Crisis Core, and FFX was actually in the same universe as VII) but no sequels.
(Please be aware I have only just started on FFVII)
Basically, the story goes like this...
As something of a graphics whore I do like HD full 3D graphics. 1 thing that was undeniably great about FFXIII, for example, was the absolutely stunning visuals. The idea of playing FFVII with XIII level graphics makes me giddy. Just imagine how cool Jenova, for example, would look with the...
Well I've only played 3 Final Fantasy games (XIII, XIII-2 and VII) and I've barely started on them so I can't really comment. I don't really get the hatred for XIII, it had a decent storyline, and fairly good gameplay (While it is true that auto-battle makes things easier, if you don't use...
Hey everyone! I'm Squigsquasher. I've always been interested in Final Fantasy, but never really got into it until I picked up Final Fantasy XIII second hand. Despite all the negative reviews, I'm actually rather enjoying it, and ever since I've been wanting to try more FF games.
So far, I've...
