Amizon, you never said whether I was accepted or not and I signed up for a guardian role before most of the spots were filled. I was just wondering if I was accepted or not and whether I got the guardian spot.
I will play my part in history accordingly
Name: Cort DelMai
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Class: Red Mage
Weapon(s): Spear
Skills/Spells: A jack of all trades, but master of none. He's studied Black and White magic, as well as the sword and spear although he favors the latter.
Hometown...
The obvious choice is Terra, expecially for the first half. The whole story pretty much revolves around her and and her past, and her future. While most of the other characters have some stock in the story she's the only one that was absolutely neccisary.
But I'd argue for the second half of...
I voted for the more "open" world because even though I didn't enjoy any part of the game, I did prefer it kind of open.
There were more reasons to dislike the game other than the linearity, but I liked it that they at least kind of started trying once the world opened up.
I just made this thread to discuss and debate games or series you hate.
I'll start with the Call of Duty series.
I don't understand the widespread facination with this series. It's just another FPS shoot, cut, run macho fest. Everytime I play it it's the same thing. Every updates version...
Why all the Pokemon hate? What it lacks in story it makes up for in... something. I'm not really sure what. Probably charisma. But whatever.
I'm enjoying FFVIII which I know a lot of people didn't like but I wouldn't consider it a bad game by any means. I dunno.
Also the Mario Party games...
I'm working on VIII. I'm not very far, the beginning of Disc 2 in the prison. Just got the weapons back. =P
I'm liking it. I actually enjoy the junction system. It's an interesting change and since I have Sleep junctioned to my gunblade, it's easy to draw spells while the monsters are asleep. =D
Black Swan for the second time. It's a great movie and there's a reason why it was heavily featured at the Oscars. It's sort of like a female Fight Club but it's hard to explain without giving away too many spoilers.
Natalie Portman does an absolutely amazing job, and Mila Kunis compliments...
I think it was a bad idea to try to make Final Fantasy films in the first place. Final Fantasy has made its mark by being a series of 30+ hours sprawling adventures that take time to flesh out the characters and story and you just can't do that with one to two hours at your disposal.
Laconic...
Cloud being an "emo" is the dumbest thing I've ever heard come out of any Final Fantasy fan or detractor's mouth.
Emo, in it's purest form, refers to a person who conforms to a certain style and listens to a certain type of music, then way the terms Punk or Headbanger do. But as with those...
That's a good question. I don't think we'll convert to anything as a collective, but I'll probably go back to Pokemon or play Mother/Xenogears/Persona/Chrono Trigger which I've been planning on playing after I'm done with every FF. o_o
There's nothing that can replace FF for probably anyone...
I think I like Squall because even though he lives in a fantasy (sci-fi... whatever) environment, he reacts to things how a person reall would, and reacts to outrageous and archtypical characters the same way. He's cynical, cold, and most of all... real and relatable.
I don't know if it's bad...
I think you have more posts than me, but I'll drop by to say hi anyway...
Hi!
VII is by no means better than VI... or IX, but I suppose we can agree to disagree.
Anyway, welcome to FFF, I hope you enjoy your stay!
The bosses were actually rather easy in FFIV... The hardest one I can recall is the Four Fiends because the female one (can't remember her name for the life of me) used Malestrom. Got me every. single. time. I got lucky one time when she didn't use it and then killed Rubicante easily, but jeez.
Kuja's pretty as a boy and a girl.....
But in all seriousness, I choose Balthier for male because he's charming, rougeish, good looking, tactful, well spoken, and he has an airship. =D He's just what a man should be, in my opinion.
For female I think Lightning is the prettiest. She...
I don't think the word should be used at all. It's a racial slur no matter who's using it. It's like gays walking around calling eachother faggots because it somehow takes the offense out when the offended party embraces it.
I think certain words have become socially acceptable. We call...
