    Favorite Playable Character

Rikku. With just a little bit of strength boosting she becomes extremely useful. I love many of her skills, like Bribe and Mug. I use her in almost every battle.

Does anyone here like FFX enough to play it again?

Final Fantasy X is replayable simply because it is so good. I do agree with the sentiment that blitzball is too time consuming and that the minigames are tough (they really just require practice), but it is not required to do any of the minigames or sidequests to complete the main story. I...

Ever Get Bored of Final Fantasy?

Even though I love the Final Fantasy games, I still find them to be an absolute chore to get through. There is just so much content in them and the turn based battles end up becoming so repetitive that I have to fight myself to finish them. By the thirty hour mark I am usually just ready to move...

What FF do you recommend for me?

The really old ones (I-III) are NOT worth playing. They are far too basic by contemporary standards to really hold up. V is also generally considered to be for "hardcore fans" only, and because you haven't completed a single FF title, you're not. The most gripping and straightforward in the game...

    FFIX - Worth Getting?

It's not one of the best Final Fantasy games, in my opinion. It's actually probably one of the least exciting ones; the level up system is very basic and there are no options for customizing your characters (which is to be expected in a Final Fantasy game). I also think that the characters who...

    Kuja's Gender

Why is this even worth discussing? He's just an androgynous male. That's it. He ain't transgendered, a woman, or nothin'. Just a guy with an effeminate appearance.

FFX-2 Which ending do you consider canonical?

Even though his rebirth is sort of cheesy, I do think that it is in fact canonical. Although the central of the game is "moving on" (past Yu Yevon, racial quarrels between humans and Al Bhed, Ronso and Guado, etc), the game also STRONGLY hints that love (whether romantic or platonic) is eternal...

    Worst Final Fantasy Game?

I can't stand Final Fantasy IX. I understand that it's a strong fan favorite, but the hideous character designs, slow and clunky battle system, and simplistic ability system makes the game a far cry from my ideal RPG. I have rarely been so disappointed in an RPG.

Deciding whether or not to play on PSP...

The game was originally intended to be a console game, so I would play it for the first time on the PS3. The game really does feel like sort of a spin-off, handheld sort of game so I would definitely try it out on the PSP eventually.

Dragon Mage Breaks Down The FF7 Plot (So You Don't Have To)

Okay, so if Aerith needed to die in order to tell the Planet to summon Holy, what was the purpose of the White Materia orb? Also, what did Cloud mean at the end of the game when he said, "I think I'm beginning to understand. An answer from the Planet, the Promised Land...I think I can meet...

I just beat FFVII! Here is my review.

I just finished this game yesterday. Pros: -Fast and accessible gameplay -A simultaneously old school and innovative approach to character customization -A mature and subtle storyline with some of the best characters in the series -A strong sense of humor keeps the game from feeling too...

[V1] What are you currently playing?

I'm playing Final Fantasy VII for the first time. I started playing about two weeks ago and I'm near the end of disc 2. I'll probably finish it in two or three days.

Does anyone here like FFX enough to play it again?

Yes, I inevitably will. I just played through the game for the first time last month, and I am already itching to play it again. It is easily one of the best games I have ever played, and my personal favorite Final Fantasy game.

    FF7 vs FF8

I prefer VIII for its graphics, presentation, and some of its gameplay, mostly its card and item refining system. The story in VII is better, but the heavily dated graphics and sound make it less accessible. It's also much more difficult on average, too.

Which Final Fantasy Games Do You Own? [V2]

I own Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, and XII. I haven't touched IX or XII yet, though; I am just getting into the series. I most likely won't buy or play any of the installments before VII because I do not enjoy playing 2D games (unfortunately).

How did you feel about traveller's spheres healing the party completely?

I liked it. It made grinding way easier because I didn't have to constantly run back to venders to buy tents or run back to inns to rest.

    Playstation PS3 Top 5 List

    1. Metal Gear Solid 4- This game is absolutely flawless in every respect. Not only is the storyline wonderful, but the gameplay is so intuitive and leaves the players with so many options that it's endlessly replayable. Some people think that the long cutscenes ruin the experience, but without...

Playstation What are the best PS1 rpgs?

If you are willing to spend over a hundred hours and a hundred dollars, Dragon Warriror VII is a great traditional RPG. It is very hard and the graphics are pretty bad (the characters are 2D sprites, even though the game was released in 2001). You can't go wrong with any game in the Dragon Quest...

FFX-2 FFX-2: Love It or Hate It?

I like this game a lot, but I do not love it. Final Fantasy X is my favorite game of all time, so naturally I enjoyed being able to revisit most of the locations and being able to see the major characters two years later. I loved the combat, though I felt that the game's "percentage" system made...
