Most definately worth getting, my favourite of the lot.
The characters in IX are probably the best cast of characters, imo. The development each one goes through is brilliantly engrossing. The, iverall, design of the game has immense charm that makes you feel or warm when playing it. The music...
I think VII, the origional game ('cause that's what we're talking about here) is not overated. Like has been said, it was a massive leap from the sprite generation of titles and the whole package just oozed evolution. I won't concentrate on that aspect too much, though as I never did play the...
I've seen them and loved them.
Nomura did say we was gonna get some Versus gameplay footage, however, this is just fine by me. The reasons to get a PS3 are these games. Period.
We're talking about characters developments in terms of how they developed as people through the game. How the story shapped them. There personal journey from start to finish.
Sweet! Having the airships and world map making a comeback in the next instalments will be quite exciting for us fans. I think this is a bit more of an indication that XIII and Versus will bring back the magic that, I thought, XII lacked. Also, with the inclusion of Shiva and her twin (along...
I'm glad IX is appreciated more than I thought it would be. It is a beautiful game. The characters, the locales, the music is all beautiful and comes together to make a great game. Final Fantasy IX featured the best compilation of cut-scenes and the game featured some of the most memeroable...
Sorry, I Edited it...
Cloud
He is the main protagonist of, argueably, the best Final Fantasy title of the franchise and has appeared in several other games, including spinoffs and an animated movie. He's most probably the most iconic of the all the protagonists.
Sephiroth
He is the main...
Final Fantasy IX had the best character development. Zidanne, Garnet and Vivi were all very thought out characters, who had to deal with a lot of demons and truths. The way they were handled was quite deep and dealt with a lot of strong issues. They took personal journies which saw them grow and...
I would love to live in Lindblum. Living in a city with such scope and scale would be amazing. The airships flying overhead, the Ghashall pickle salesman, the Chocobo Forest is close by, the grand, towering buildings and open city streets. It would be quite an experience to live there...
I agree with the people who say that Amarant is the most useless. His abilities aren't anything special and don't provide any major advantages to your party. I never really take not of Amarnt when selecting my party. I also agree that Quina should not be considered as the most useless, and is by...
I think that Final Fantasy VII has aged very well. The stand-out aspects are, primarily the graphics, which doesn't phase me at all. I look at the graphics and it gives me a nastalgic feeling. The other aspect is moving around with the D-Pad, obviously this doesn't feel as smooth and intuitive...
I have to agree with Judge Rulia, the battle system in XII was very fresh and I welcomed it with open arms. I think it makes battles more enjoyable as a matter of fact. I'm sure that a majority of FF fans can agree that random battles did get tiresome, and tedius, after a while so I think this...
I agree with stonacola.
I loved Kuja, he was a great villain, from his first cutscene (in Burmecia) he just looked formidable and very mysterious. I was intrigued and wanted to know more. His smile at the scar caused by Bahamut just said it all really; he was that powerful that he was...
As Cerridwen stated, Lightning's outfit is not at all slutty. Sure, someone could argue that her shorts are a bit...short. However, she's hardly revealing much is she.
In the concluding part of the FF Retrospective, the summons, and there links to mythology is explained. Not all of them, but a lot of them.
Here's the link

Well, it's over. No more Final Fantasy retrospectives. The series of in-depth revisists to the games was truly beautiful, and nastalgic. It makes me proud to be a FF fan. I'm going to watch them all in a long run, one after the other, as I have them all downloaded.
Well, the compilation of VII is still going as they develop for the XIII saga so I can see them being particularily busy. Taking into consderation how long it will probably take for them to develop a chapter int he Fabula Nova Cristilis saga, within the 10 years they'll probably have about 6...
First of all, VengefulRonin is telling the truth when he says the FFVII compilation will last another 9 or so years. This is specifically stated in the Retrospective episode, which focuses on VII.
In regards to FFX being the last Final Fantasy, well, I disagree. For one, we;ve only had X-2, XI...
