Well, once I was carrying a glass of chocolate milk from one room to another when I accidentally dropped it. Chocolate milk splattered all over the walls, and it's still staining the ceiling (which I didn't bother to clean) after about a year.

I don't think I really knew about it until 2001 or so when I started going online a lot. RPGs weren't my parents' thing (my mom played Zelda 1 and 2 for a while, but that was about it), and we lived in the country so I couldn't easily go out and buy my own games.
