NO! How dare they make this a game mechanic! :gasp: This is how I lost my one wing! :sad2: People chucking me at treasure chests...it is physically and mentally scarring!
Of course I got my revenge...I summoned a huge meteor, and, well, that's a long story about a place that doesn't exist...
It's clear that Claire Fallon wanted to be a new person. She didn't want to be Claire Fallon anymore; because it was just her and Serah, she had to be someone stronger. In her quest for strength to protect herself and her dear sister, she evidently figured shedding her former name to something...
Finally got around to finishing it. (Well the story at least...I still got to deal with a circle of death and giant monsters to deal with, eventually).
Last boss series kind of reminded me of FFX, with the real challenge at the big monstorous thing followed by an ugly thing that's easier to...
Sora. Deep yet simple at the same time; the admirable desire to go and risk his life repeatedly for his friends, and the occasional super-meaningful speech(Hollow Bastion KH1).
He is also the "lazy bum" in all of us.
Completely against it. I think that humanity should be better than that. It's also too expensive, and if it wasn't too expensive, it would be taking the easy way out with the people that OUR society generate in one way or another.
Many of these people themselves are at one point victims of...
Yuna's ballad from FFX-2 can get me. Also, "Answers" from FFXIV moved me to tears the frst time I heard it with no context. Those lyrics and the despairing choir are excellent.
I am with Cid as well. People complain about how auto-battle does the game for you, but it is completely option and nost the most important featureof combat. Shifting requires those extra buttons and strategy for harder battles, and for easier generic battles, well as mentioned it's like any...
I'm not sure how universal that really is without maxing (because exploiting elemental and magical weaknesses is important, in my experience), but as mentioned, you do have that choice. If you really wanted to, you could probably blast through much of a number of FF games using only the power of...
Lack of effort or over-innovation?
I was watching a video the other day about how much Japenese gaming was dying out west (and a lot of industry heads there were agreeing that it is hurting), largely because it doesn't change enough as western games do, because the Japanese market doesn't...
Blue mage, definitely. I love the spells and all their effects; they look the most interesting for me, plus they are darn useful. It is surprisingly satisfying to kill a boss/mini-boss with lvl 5 doom. Plus who doesn't want to be a superhero that is pretty much like Rogue from X-men? (Or Peter...
Final Fantasy Anthology (V + VI).
Figured it was time to play the earlier FF works, and since music was what got me back into final fantasy, I figured I'd start with what is considered to be one of Ueamastu's best works (VI). V was a bonus that I am currently working through and enjoying.
These days, I am inclined to say Answers from FFXIV. It not particularly catchy, but it is epic in a One-Winged Angel kind of way, with haunting vocals and incredible lyrics about the plight of all soldiers (or that's how I read them). It saddens me that it hasn't gotten much recongnition...
I was 10 when I started on FFX (fitting, isn't it?). I have forgotten why I first got it; it may have been because it was the same makers as Kingdom Hearts (or the vice-versa...it's been a while). Some of it was beyond me, but the story still pulled me in like a vacuum, as did the length and...
It is unfortunate that some of the words in the english version work that way (namely the title).:worried:
"Simple and Clean
Is the way that I make dishes
Nice, tonight,
It's hard to get dirt off..."
Loved FFXII. The characters had issues, but the story of war and politics was rather good. I loved the liceense board system and the free wander, as well as the summons and battle system. The freedom is excellent, and it is always a thrill to go through a Quickening chain and cause all kinds of...
