I personally quite like spiders. Most of them are rather timid and would not attack a human or larger animal back. But some like these are pretty aggressive. Brazilian Wandering and Sydney Funnel-webbed are perhaps the most deadly spiders out there (or so I've read), so I am not surprised at the...
I know it's probably a bad idea mentioning this, but surely you can find it online for download and play on emulators. I mean with a game this old, surely it won't be a crime to just download it.
Hmm, not sure if I wondered about it, but one thing I kind of realised about all FF games is that when they travel through the world map, they actually travel huge distances that could take days. The characters seem kinda big on the world map compared to the size of the world, but that's just so...
Was just going to mention, I've made one of those character list portraits on FF6 characters, you know one of those you upload on Facebook and then tag your friends as. Which subforum/topic would be a good place to upload the pic for others to get?
This is really unclear to be honest. The thing is, the end of FF7 did seem like they might've had a relationship, but then Advent Children happens 2 years after and they were still not in one, so anything could happen at that point. It depends on Cloud really. I think Tifa is willing to settle...
He is plain for the most part all right, but I think he has some subtle personality traits like some suggested here. In early parts of the game those are not shown, but gradually as the game progresses you start noticing them. First of all, he is a good team player. He always wishes to help out...
I really like some of ExDeath's quotes, like:
"Peons! Tremble before my might! Mwhahahaha! It's time for your viscera to see the light."
Other than that, most of the funny ones have been mentioned. Here's one that hasn't yet, when you get to one of the tablets, one of ExDeath's minions...
Badass for sure and very villainy. I do prefer him to Sephiroth since he did accomplish more within the game and also he did have an attitude. So yes, I like ExDeath as a villain. He wasn't as crazy as Kefka, but he knew how to destroy things with style.
Amazon has some copies for around $30 in a good condition. I mean I don't know how much you'd pay for a game, but if I really wanted it and had enough money, I would pay this amount.
However if there is a cheaper option, like with the PS3 network thingy then probably it's a better option, but...
Nice choices, guys. I often feel the same during the game, when I intentionally wait around just so I can hear a certain tune for longer (though probably not in the final boss battle :D).
I certainly forgot to mention Metamorphosis. That tune was still playing in my head that night I got up to...
You mean you can give him additional commands on top of just 'Mimic' command? Oh wow, I did not know. I can't believe I played the whole of Kefka's tower with him just mimicking.
I noticed there wasn't a topic on favourite music from the game, so I thought I should start one. What are your favourite music pieces from FFVI is my question to you. You can name as many as you want. You can make it a top 10 list if you want, or mention a few tunes you love and say why you do...
I missed that Gau scene too. I tried to use walkthrough as less as possible, but in the last parts of the game when there is a lot of bonus stuff to do it's hard not to check it. I am now doing the same with FFV. I just don't want to miss the good stuff.
But after watching that video of the...
For me it'd be either Nibelheim because of its mysterious, tranquil and rather nostalgic feel, or perhaps the higher Junon, because it seems like a nice city and is not too big like Midgar (and also I'd be able to take a ferry to Costa del Sol and the Gold Saucer during the holidays).
Same here. And although Mog has a Dance ability which once activated causes you to lose control, but at least each dance has lots of different effects so it leaves you curious as to what's he going to cast next. And also correct me if I am wrong, but I think Gau could only do Rage, whilst with...
Well said Argor. I mean Mobliz was completely devastated. Only kids had remained pretty much. Albrook seemed to have undergone a change too, with many people sitting by the fires outside and being in poverty. Even in all the other places, although you could tell people were trying to come to...
I am enjoying FFV too actually. Even though the story is rather cliched and characters aren't as developed in personalities as FFVI, it's still a rather lighthearted game with a nice gameplay. The job system is really fun indeed. It's just I wish characters had more ability slots. I mean right...
And the great thing is, once the character learnt the ability they can use it all they like; unlike FFV, where you have a mere 1 slot and loads of ability groups to choose from. Makes it seem like all the time you spent on learning those is wasted.
That it does, because the thing is, you can easily relate real world to it. And I think the dramatic music really added to it, which then got replaced by a quiet sound of the sea on a distant island. I mean the contrast is incredible.
@ Єphemeral: Did you not need any healers then, or was Celes your mage?
She definitely has the potential. Should someone cross her, they'll have to be dealing with her esper form, and I don't think they'll stand a chance.
OK, off to General FFVI discussion we go then...
