Yeah, I got all of them. I remember at one point I already had all of the weapons and crests, so I had to dedicate a weekend to getting the sigils. Tedious!
I thought the easiest were Wakka's, Yuna's, Auron's and Rikku's. I loved playing Blitzball, so that wasn't a problem. I thought fighting...
Seymour Flux was the worst. That was the toughest part of the game for me, because after that the player starts to get good equipment and extra Aeons. At that point, it was just me at the minimum level I had to be at that point with some trashy equipment. I didn't know about the Bio strategy, so...
I thought it was an adequate challenge. I had gone through and found/upgraded the best weapons and found all of the Aeons, but I don't remember Braska's Final Aeon being all that easy. Having Auto-Life while fighting all of the Aeons after that was what made it easy.
Seymour Flux (I think...
I thought it was fun and something different. I did like the tutorial aspect to it a lot, and getting "paychecks" based on my rank really did make me feel like I was a part of a military program. (Aw, I miss this game.)
I like Lightning right now. Her design's been getting some complaints because of the "female Cloud Strife" comment, but it's different enough so that I don't mind. I actually like it a lot. From the little we know about her personality, she seems collected and interesting. I like watching how...
Thank you for this summary!
I'm still trying to figure out what he means by this. Maybe he means more than just shyness and timidity, because we've definitely had characters with some amounts of those before.
Eden is pretty boss. What beats a giant garden flying down and shooting a laser? Well, it takes forever, but at least you're pretty much guaranteed to get the maximum Boost. Plus, after all of the work it takes to get it, it feels like a real accomplishment to use it in battle.
My favorite party:
Squall: Well, he's required most of the time. Plus, Renzokuken for days. I always gave him some good junctions to HP and Strength, so he was good for general offense.
Rinoa: I really like her Limit Breaks. Angelo Reverse actually saved me the first time I fought Ultimecia...
I like his jacket, too.
If I'm correct, the current slang definition for emo is discussing and obsessing over feelings too much, right? Squall doesn't do that at all, so I wouldn't call him emo. He had his bad moments (his reaction to Quistis at the training center was less than graceful, but...
I like this a lot. Not every character can know what to do perfectly in every situation. Rinoa struck me as someone who was getting through what looked like a pretty rough situation the best way she knew how, and I saw a lot of strength in that. To be honest I forget about her relationship with...
My feelings about this game's characters have changed so drastically over time. When I first played it it was all Squall, all the time. I liked that he was mysterious and cool, and I could really see how he was changing as the game went on. I also had a soft spot for Selphie, because of how she...
Ahaha, I like to live on the wild side with Plus.
It's not a necessity, but I like having Open, too. I just got so used to it at the beginning of the game that not being able to see the opponent's cards made me nervous.
Aw, I love Plus (and Same)! Just another way to win cards to your side, but also a way for the enemy to do the same, I guess. But yeah, I wouldn't cry if I never saw Random or Elemental.
I love Triple Triad. It's a tie between this and Blitzball for favorite FF mini-game. There would be days...
I think Squall lived, pretty much because of what everyone else has said. I could see Rinoa maybe glancing and acknowledging a hallucination, but not reaching up and kissing one. Plus the party would probably be more subdued if Squall had died.
(I like Rinoa-as-Ultimecia theories, too, but I...
Renzokuken, everyday.
It's really powerful and I thought it "looked cool." (Well, it did.) Plus, later in the game I seemed to get lucky and get Lion Heart at all of the right times. Very useful.
I love Terra. She's one of my favorite FF characters of all time. She's great in battle with her strong magic and her back story is touching. The classic "girl who doesn't belong," but somehow she's not a cliche.
Play the second one if you get a chance to get it cheap. I just picked it up this summer, and in my opinion it's as good as the first, if not better. It's longer, too.
I love Fran's accent, too! I knew it sounded familiar. She sounds like Bjork!
Love that Queen's English, too. Balthier is one of my favorite Final Fantasy characters of all time.
Vaan: swords, light armor
Penelo: daggers, white/green magic, mage armor
Basch: lances, heavy armor
Ashe: rods, dark magic, heavy armor
Balthier: guns, light armor
Fran: bows, black/time magic, mage armor
I also gave all of the Espers to Ashe.
