Metallica is my favorite band of all time. I happen to like a couple of songs on St. Anger as well, but overall, old Metallica (...And Justice for All or older albums are considered "old" Black is when they turned mainstream) is where it is at.
There is no other band that is more...
Superman Returns, and I am serious. No other movie has taken me back to my childhood as successfully as this one. I felt like I was 6 years old again. Brandon Routh did an incredible job filling Christopher Reeves large boots. I am glad in the direction that the film took in relaying a...
I'm hoing this movie doesn't go the way of Batman & Robin with too many villains and not enough focus. Plus I'm not a huge Venom fan in the first place (although I do acknowledge that his story should be an entire film to itself...). I'm worried but hopefully Raimi will pull it off.
I agree, A Song of Ice and Fire is the single best fantasy series ever, although I truthfully place Tolkein very high on my list anyway. I highly recommend GRRM's creation.
Heh, now they have to come out with the "Wheel of Time all-in-one" Only 13000 pages and growing...
I think my longest single book (that I can recall) would be Stephen King's The Stand: Unabridged version...I just can't remember how long it is off the top of my head, around 1200 though...I've...
Diablo is great. I still play it, although I play more of a modded DII than anything else. DIII is one game that I wish they would actually confirm finally. Ah well. Hellgate: London (which is being made by the old group for DII) will have to do...
I have mine now, with Resistance (which I haven't played) and Marvel Alliance (which is a great semi-sequel to the X-Men Legends games). I bought it more for up and coming games however. Soon my list of games will grow:
Armored Core 4
Devil May Cry 4
Assassin's Creed
God of War 3 (that'll be...
Well, I'll just post my "review" from another thread.
Final Fantasy: Advent Children was a terrible movie. Sure, from a true fan of VII's point of view, it was just big orgasm after another, but me, I was actually hoping for some substance to come out of VII. In that respect, I was quite...
I hope to god that they don't make another one of these, especially if it is anything like the first. I would much rather see a totally original movie, ala Spirits Within or based off a game with a better story like Tactics, FFXII or IV or VI (not that I think any would make a great movie, but...
I enjoyed this movie a hell of a lot more than I enjoyed the craptastic spectacle of Advent Children. At least this movie was original, with a good story to it. It's too bad a game didn't get release based off of it.
It is the greatest Final Fantasy in existence. That is all you need to know. Go and play it!
Heh. It's a story that revolves around war and politics and the differences within the social structure with a side of religion thrown in. That and it is played completely different from normal...
If Tactics was crap, what does that make FF VII then since it is so much lower on the scale?
Maybe you should settle down a bit before going off all frothing at the mouth at a friendly jibe.
BTW, Tactics is the single best Final Fantasy made...in my opinion. :)
Except that whenever you ran into enemy characters on the overworld, they looked like clones of you, be they Black Wizard, Monk, Dragoon, Bard, what have you. You never ran into a Holy swordsman at random, nor did you have access to any classes that were unique. I would like to see more unique...
Heh, I'm an old schooler and I didn't really care for this game. I just couldn't get into the characters at all. There was too much "Hollywoodized forced in humor" for me. Every time I see Steiner I am reminded of Jar Jar Binks...
They will if they can start a new series that is good. They do have a reputation beyond "Final Fantasy", they just need to live up to it.
If only Tactics were more of a series... :)
