FFVIII certainly does show its age with its story. It would be interesting to see how they would tweak things if they ever did an FFVIIR style remake. I think that in a modern retelling, they would certainly need to show a better reason to have these military forces when largely they just end up...

I always thought a sequel that focused on Seifer and his crew would be pretty cool. I think even having an episodic kind of thing like After Years where each part focuses on a separate group would be pretty cool.

I've always loved the Behemoth and thinking about it's evolution from game to game. It's always the "Oh Shi..." enemy. (For a different reason then a Malboro) It's also really interesting how sometimes it's on two legs and sometimes on four.

I recently found a bunch of the original FF VII figures by Bandai at a local game store. I got Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, Barret, and Sephiroth. They don't have the accessories but all of the figures for just $30....that's a win in my book.

Honestly what worked for me was playing a shit ton of cards, finding all the ways to manipulate the item and magic crafting. Once you really get into that you find ways to break the game very very easily.

It works for the speedrunners but for normal play it kinda...removes the gameplay from the game...

I know that a LOT of people like to ship Edgar and Terra but that makes NO sense outside of Edgar being lecherous. Terra never showed the slightest amount of interest in him. Granted her whole story is about looking for love, but love is not just romantic.
