yup they're Okinawan dialects. I guess that explains why Tidus is read as "Tee-dus". It's not very common of square to change names of leading characters in different versions. Maybe it's bcoz Tiida doesn't sound appealing for english gamers.
hmm I'm having hard time to choose.... I guess I'd go for X-2 Yuna. I like summoner Yuna but for me her X-2 design is more detailed and her personality is more upbeat.
I see the FFX system's only small difference is their turns are already calculated and is more refined rather than determining it through time waiting in ATBs. It's been experimental anyway and I could care less if it's a trademark of the series. I'm not saying it's utterly bad though. I did...
oh I'll go look for a european version. I've played the PS version a lot but didn't finished it and lost my save so I'd go for the GBA version for a change. since it's faster and more visually updated.
thanks all.
yeah interesting. the japanese version of the SNES has no dialogue in the flashback scene too if I'm not mistaken. I think it's more dramatic without the dialogue but it also entertains me to see their original scripts. I like both versions. ^_^
oh they're even now. FF6 seems to be Italian themed. It's very classical and I love it. FF7 on the other hand is Spanish.
^ err I think she meant your opinion isn't so popular but you're brave for saying it. :)
Blue Mage is one of my favorite character classes in FF.. and I find his/her (err..?) quote funny. the one in the title screen when you let it stand by.
"Indulgence
I do what I want. You have problem?"
he/she's one good comical relief too. also when the dwarves in conde petie greeted...
hi. what do you people think about it?
as for me after I see the original systems in FF1-3, it made me think that square made a bad move for innovating ATB in the series for so long. it makes you worry about pushing buttons faster to avoid the enemies do more turns. And I find the active mode...
I voted for FFXII Cid bcoz he's unique.. the old Cids before are obssessed with creating airships but this time he's totally gone mad. I'd say he's the most interesting and the best to me. while the FFIX Cid is very colorful as well and then the FFVII Cid is the coolest.
Ce-seel (in the FF history vid it's See-seel)
Reed-ja (just the way it's 'Lydia'.. I've always thought this name is mistranslated)
Ce-les (as is)
Ear-vin
Zee-dain (kinda confusing to me for never hearing this name before)
Tie-doos (I've thought it's like Titus in the bible.. but later found out...
I voted FFV for the old ones bcoz the dungeons have unique challenges. I find the ability system entertaining for an early game. and of course who wouldn't miss Omega and Shinryu? lol even in FFI DOS they're unforgettable.
hey there people. suppose you'll be a character in the FF world, we can be a mix of 2 or more classes as in later games like FF5 I guess. so vote for your primary job.
Hi.
Do you think FF4 advance is the best to recommend playing? how is it better than the PS version aside from the updated graphics? bcoz even for the graphics I think I still like the original better. hope to hear from you. thanks.
