The church itself is probably based on a Christian one. But Aeris being in there all the time doesn't make her that religion; she cares more about the flowers than the church itself, she only goes there because it's the only place in the Slums where flowers can grow. She cared more about Cloud...
This doesn't apply to all anime, but I don't like it when they use the latest random pop songs which have nothing to do with the show itself as the opening and ending theme. Whilst I do like some of the tunes (for example I tend to like most of the Blood+ opening themes), I do think the songs...
apart from the race part, very similar things have been said about pretty much every single FF trailer so far. I don't really think one gorgeous cutscene represents an entire FF game.
nonetheless it does look good, thanks for sharing. still though, the restrictions to the gameplay is going to...
well the little description underneath the logo in that pic says 'the story of defeat that leads to the final battle'. Maybe he dies
or maybe it just represents the end of the war. who knows
thanks for the new scans.
I know the game is still in development stage, but I wonder what those orange bars underneath the HP bar are. A new feature perhaps?
It's an interesting question this. When I was reading the threads about pedophilia in the past, not many referred to the attacks as rape; more as abuse. Is having sexual intercourse with a child who doesn't know what it going on considered as rape or not?
As for the case of someone forcing...
some new good songs I heard during my recent holiday to Japan:
Vamps: Angel Trip
TM Revolution: Sword Summit
Acid Black Cherry: Rebirth [only a short clip, sorry]
Ho-kago Tea-time: No, Thank You! [ending theme to K-on!!]
Buck-tick: Kuchizuke
and the latest Japanese girl idol...
whoa whoa whoa, this thing is still on? and it's starting?
sweet.
I vote Spike.
Reason: generally laid back, but kicks ass when required. which is pretty much the definition of a badass. he also smokes when not being allowed to smoke and in the rain (again, the actions of a badass).
upon...
hmm... $1.49billion in revenue from April-December 2009 suggests that they are doing very well for a 'poorly run company'. What they're doing is what all good companies do; maximizing the profits i.e. milking as much as possible from a successful title (VII's spinoffs are the most notable...
damn, that's a shame... even more of a shock than when Joey Jordison was voted as a better drummer than Mike in some magazine. I love Dream Theater and dislike Sevenfold which makes it even worse.
to be honest though I don't really like the new stuff DT have been making, but I'll always love...
Maybe, for example, the Ex-moves of Yuna/Seymour/whatever summoner can change depending on the summon stone they are equipping? Like if they have Bahamut equipped they can use Mega-Flare as the Ex-Burst.
Also having exclusive summons (like exclusive weapons in the first Dissidia) could work...
Genre: Dramatic Progressive Action. Hehe, I've never even heard of this genre.
very much looking forward to this as I enjoyed the first so much that I still play it. It'l be interesting to see if it's still Chaos V Cosmos, or another new setting (though it looks this way from the logo). If so...
Not sure whether to put this in the Music area, but it's mostly about Donkey Kong so...
When thinking of music composers in video games, we think of Nobuo Uematsu, Shoji Meguro, Yasunori Mitsuda, Koichi Sugiyama etc; mainly Japanese ones.
I'd like to share with you one of my favourite video...
Soundtrack, extra gameplay, and some freedom for the gamer are the three for me.
Soundtrack is something everyone can agree on; I do enjoy sports games like MLB and Fifa, but the soundtrack is quite awful... although it's good thing that in some games you can upload your own music into the...
inbetween the youtube wrap thing, paste the code in the HTML after the "watch?v="
eg. for this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1iqJqNHX_g
paste the Y1iqJqNHX_g in there and that should do it. I had trouble earlier, but this worked for me:
Quote this post if you'r unsure, you should...
great thread for a very under-appreciated composer. My personal favourite is Traumerei from Persona 4:
such a beautiful tune, and was so, as you said, epic in the game.
Anime characters don't look like real people. Real people don't have eyes that are half the size of their face nor do people have natural blue/green hair etc. Maybe that was being too specific, but the point is they're not drawn to realistic specifications and do not resemble a real life human...
the worst part is the poison bit, which was so over-powered in X. what was it, 1/4 of your hp in one turn? it was quite ridiculous.
most of the time I had someone with First Strike as one of their abilities, so that I can just flee whenever I encountered the thing without it breathing. Once I...
It's more to do with the atrocious American voice-acting than the script itself, they make some parts sound very kiddie-like whereas in the Japanese version it's a lot less so (eg. they laugh properly in Luca) Western voice actors for video games and anime need to improve.
Though it will be ruined by Japanese fangirls of Hiro Mizushima (though he is a very good actor), Takeru Satoh etc, I'm very much looking forward to this.
Loved the anime so hopefully it'll good.
