My best "Oh Shit!" moment was when I first fought Sorceress Adel in Final Fantasy VIII without knowing a great deal about the Junction system. It was a nightmare, and my poor Rinoa would've been trapped in Adel's belly forever if it weren't for gameshark.

I think parents overlook this certain benefit of video games. I mean seriously, aside from getting good practice from reading when playing story-based video games, they can potentially improve intelligence and imagination in a certain way... They also inspire us. :)
