some monsters have mythical-esque names as well when you look at it:
Cerberus: 3 headed dog that guarded the gates of the underworld
Basilisk: serpent that could kill with just a direct look
Also the Knights of the Round summon (7) is based (loosely) on King Arthur and his knights
Tifa: Cloud, I'm pregnant........and it's Red XIII's.
Cloud: I've become a chocobosexual
Cloud (to his own psyche): If Sephiroth turns up, tell him I'm not in.
Aerith: I CAN'T SEW! WHY DO YOU THINK I HAVE THIS TEAR WHERE MY LEGS ARE?!
Red XIII (eating Cait Sith): Now I think about it...
X, the plot was linear and predictable, the characters were dull and 2D personality wise and the bad guy was, in essence, a giant fish.
Before anyone complains, this is my own opinion and no-one else's. Sorry for that but people were moaning at me on Youtube for thinking this.
not forgetting that Necron's introduction was fairly despairing from the moans and screams to the fire and name of the area, Hill of Despair , thats what a boss needs not a desire to appease their 'mother'
If that's the case, what was the worst.
Not that I'm complaing, I thought Necron was a unique boss and continued the whole 'final boss has to take up the whole screen' thing that we seem to have.
My view is that (villain wise) Kuja and Sephiroth are just about equal with Kefka and Necron...
