Cool, never I never had a chance to play it. I some how missed it in the SNES days (RPGs weren't my thing, I was a platforming guy) and I never owned a GBA so I missed it there as well. The PS3/PSP are my first Sony consoles but I never purchased the V/VI compilation Glad this is coming out, I...
It's good that Square Enix is releasing it's back catalog digitally. I wouldn't be surprised if their goal was to get all the Final Fantasies on PSN. Now I wonder how long till X, X-2, and XII in HD?
Cool story bro.
I'm not European, but I wouldn't mind riding around on a chocobo. If they did it sort of like Red Dead Redemption, where different breeds of horses would be handle/move quicker (Undead Nightmare is maybe even a better example) that would be awesome.
Or... if you could BE A CHOCOBO.
Not very surprising, Final Fantasy doesn't have much of a following in Europe, not as much as in Japan and North America. I'm glad Square Enix is putting their focus elsewhere.
Played some of the game last night, pretty great deal for 3 dollars.
Even though I liked the more "linear" style of Final Fantasy XIII, I'd like to see those characters and battle system in a more open world, with towns!
My only complaint about FFXIII was the need to read the in-game resources to understand the plot/world. I wouldn't mind a more concise story...
I will not be purchasing this. I was trying to play Secret of Mana on my iPod the other day and found controlling the characters extremely difficult. The iPod just isn't a great platform for adventure/RPG games. Which is ok, because the DS/PSP totally is. :)
Pointless? Yes, putting their games...
I haven't heard much of Final Fantasy XIV since that apology letter came out before Christmas.
I'm assuming there's a few people playing it around here. Have any updates/patches been released? Have they made the game more enjoyable?
That's not really what we're talking about but, ok. There's been multiple Final Fantasy sequels throughout the years. This isn't really something new. Final Fantasy XII had Reverent Wings, XI had numerous ad-ons, X had X-2, VII has had prequels/sequels, IV has The After Years. Not to mention the...
Um, what? Lots of games get sequels within 12 months, look at Assassin's Creed this year.
Or look at Final Fantasy I and II, III and IV, etc.
By the time XIII-2 comes out, it'll be at least 18 months old, if not older.
And I really don't think it's their moneycow.
I've always felt that Final Fantasy XIII was one of the strongest of the series, possibly only behind IV, VI, and IX. So I'm very excited about this game, especially if it's taking a more fantasy direction.
Has anyone translated what's said in the voice over?
You either need to calm down or get a life (or both).
While you may not have enjoyed Final Fantasy XIII, lots of people did. In fact, critically, it was fairly well received. That said, there is clearly some things that could be improved in a sequel. If they tweak a few things, they could make a...
