Nintendo 3DS has three to five hours of battery life

I'm not sure what the "official" battery life is, but the PSP is already getting away with this as far as I know... I can't get more than a 2 hour session out of mine unless I'm playing off the memory card and going to sleep mode every time I stop for more that 5 seconds. Granted, I've seen some...

    Atheism & Theism

If 1., then 2. can only occur if you define the term god so loosely that we're well within the realm of the natural. If a "god" is something you like/worship then I'm going to have to declare myself a god on account of at least a couple girls I've dated that have taken their interest in me to...

Nintendo 3DS has three to five hours of battery life

If the battery is anything like most others, as long as you're careful to fully drain it as often as possible before charging it should last. After the 10+ hour life of the DS lite 3.5 to 5 is pretty disappointing. Then again, the DS lite can't exactly do full 3d, so it's not hard to imagine...

    favourite character?

I really enjoy Exdeath. Mighty Glacier is one of my favourite fighting game character tropes, and Exdeath certainly fits the bill. He's slow as a glacier, but once he gets going there's just no stopping him. I'm also a huge fan of Warrior of Light, but I can't seem to get my skill level up...

Nintendo Best in the Zelda: Wind Waker Trilogy?

I haven't played Spirit Tracks yet (not sure I ever will), but I have to tip my hat to Phantom Hourglass. Normally, I hate games that include a time limit mechanic, but the way it was done in PH, forcing economy of motion instead of having a clock ticking down with genuinely no way to stop it...

    sephiroth ruler of planet?

I really enjoy crazy villains, so Sephiroth did a lot for me in that regard (the best villains tend to be completely insane and driven by their madness, or someone trying to do what they think is the right thing no matter what). He's clearly gone mad from learning about his past/origin, and is...

[V1] What are you currently playing?

Monster Hunter Tri, Pokemon Black, Dissidia: FF, and Amnesia: The Dark Descent. I highly recommend Amnesia if you're into the idea of running from monsters and hiding in a closet, hoping they don't find you. Certainly takes me back to some of my more terrible nightmares as a kid.

Serious Important things to discuss before deciding with a potential life partner

Kandy-Sugar, I completely agree with your concern over people marrying too quickly. My wife and I were only together for a few months before we got engaged, but waited a full two years (and were living together during it to make sure we could stand each other that much) before getting married...

    Guardian Angels

It seems a little egocentric to think that powerful beings would be created with the sole purpose of watching out for individuals. My disbelief in God obviously leads to my disbelief in Guardian Angels, but I've always found angels an interesting topic (going with the some of the older...

    Failing Tests

I personally recommend being passionate about studying, and apathetic about the grade. I'm not saying that you shouldn't care and not try for a good grade, but the grade isn't really what you're there for (unless you're taking a class just to boost your gpa, in which case, well, it is what...

    Atheism & Theism

From what I've seen, Christianity is no less or more hated by Atheists than any other religion. It's just the most visible hate. Christianity has done quite well for itself in the past (controlling most of Europe for the entire Dark Ages, the Crusades, etc.), and continues to wield an obscene...

And then Square said "Let me give you despair" - Sephiroth's misuse.

I've never quite known how to feel about Sephiroth, especially compared to the classic villains like Kefka and Golbez. He never really seemed that incredible of an antagonist, and his appearances in other games hasn't been any worse than his appearance in 7. He never had a backstory of any real...

The last 'tingle down the spine'?

While how much anyone likes a FF game is entirely opinion, it's possible to take some level of objectivity (well, that's arguable, but that's a discussion for another place/time) when assessing a plot and the storytelling used to convey it. Going with that idea, I think Doza may be on to...

    Do you believe in God?

Assuming we mean the Christian God, I don't believe in him a single ounce. The Bible provides no reliable evidence of anything, especially a deity (if it was accurate, though, I'd worry for man with such an arbitrary, cruel, and vengeful creature on the loose). Religious experience (such as from...

    Atheism & Theism

Most Atheists I know are opposed to religion in general, it just appears that Christianity is their target in specific because it is so large and commands so much media attention. Apathy isn't a component of Atheism - it would better describe many "agnostics" (it's worth noting that...

    FFVIII General Discussion

I found that the greatest draw for this one was the setting/backstory. The game mechanics were very enjoyable if you like carefully tweaking and managing your stats/spells (I love games where the mechanics beg to be abused to make the experience easier). The characters started out a little...

[V5] What are you currently listening to?

The Protomen - Breaking Out Unfortunately, songs by The Protomen don't stand alone. They're part of the story, and need to be listened to in order. If you're intrigued, make sure that you read the lyrics while you listen along. It's not that they're difficult to understand, but that there's...

Earth: The Center of the Universe?

So, stop me if I'm wrong, but there's no scenario where you could have a true objective center? In an expanding universe (which ours seems to be doing at least currently), since everything is expanding from each other equally, there's no real "origin point." We'd have to assess the Universe...

Books you had to read for school...and hated!

The Old Man and the Sea - Hemingway depresses me, because his books/stories are these painful experiences that I had to drag myself through as if I was walking through a field of thumbtacks without shoes on. The worst part of all: the guy had an insanely exciting life and was a true blue...

Something I find typically annoying with atheists.

I think that expecting people to only know their side is letting them slide a bit. If you're going to deny religion and support science, you should know enough about religion to have a well founded argument for why you don't believe, and enough about science to argue for it. The same goes the...
