You know what I would have loved to have seen with Valefor? Wind spells, ie: Aero, Aera, Aeraga - I mean, she's a flying Aeon, but no Wind-based damage? The nearest thing we get is Sonic Wings, which I think sucks in comparison to the other Aeon unique-abilities. But I understand what you mean...

If I ever play through this game, I think I'll make sure that I get Auron's Masamune before Yuna's Nirvana, that way I won't get WTFPWNed when at the Mushroom Rock Road looking to capture monsters by the Dark freaking Magus Sisters.

Bahamut FTW. Most most all of his forms look awesome (excluding that hideous monstrosity from AC, Bahamut SHIN/SIN). IX's Bahamut is the coolest though :P

I've always been a sucker for Flare and Holy ... but considering all of the FX I've seen of each spell, IX's Flare makes it Epic Win. Flare for me.

@ Tim Booth: But that's the beauty of this game, you can challenge yourself by not using the Aeons whatsoever. I just think that it would've helped flesh out the world and story a bit more if there was more. And yeah, Water/Watera/Waterga was actually a prominent part of this game! It's a shame...

I personally think that the Aeons and the summoning system in FFX is the best in the whole series. The Espers of XII were almost the Real-Time counterparts, but they still seemed to phail ... The systems in III - IX were all the same, weren't they? Summon a creature, blast of doom/status...
