This I agree with.
Guns and machines are more popular than swords and dragons nowadays, so SE had no choice but to modernize the series. Also the old-school RPG style of gameplay is no longer favoured by the majority.
Then there's also the case that Final Fantasy lost any sort of style...
not really minor; the NZ game had some of the worst refereeing ever, while the Slovakia game had some of the best refereeing.
At the end of the day Domenech was to blame for France's disaster. He was responsible for squad selection, motivating, picking the captain (probably the worst decision...
It happens often for me, but I don't really call people by their names (I usually just say dude or mate or something) so it hasn't been too much of a problem, plus there's usually a third person that says the name after a while.
Something that does bother me is when someone comes and talks to...
I also just kept it to the main 3, and just junction switched when necessary (mainly only in Ultimecia Castle). Mainly because it was a hassle to get all the items that taught abilities to GFs and also cos its difficult to get a lot of the good magic (triple, ultima etc).
Also I needed my other...
I really like Firion but I don't like Bartz. With Firion you at least have a variety of different weapons, whilst with Bartz you have like 20 different swords and that's about it. Could've been nicer to give him more original moves other than Goblin Punch (maybe other blue magics like Aqua...
hehehehe
I was so pleased with Uruguay winning at the end given the Ghana wankfest the whole of ITV were participating in. Would've liked a bit more neutrality, but what do you expect from ITV...
wow.... Uruguay v Ghana: Best match of the tournament so far, clearly. Great goals, red card, missed penalty, worst penalty ever by Mensah, cheeky winning penalty. Fantastic.
So what you're basically saying is as long as you level her right then she can be good. I never remember saying anything opposing that fact :hmmm:
What I said:
Of course if you train her right you'll make her a good member. But that's just saying 'whoever is good at magic will make a good...
That.. kind of takes the point away from this thread though... :hmmm: you're basically saying that as long as you train them right then any 4 members can form a good party (which isn't wrong, mind you.).
All I'm saying is rather than having a character be able to equip Atma Weapon etc using...
Well now that I've gotten over my country's elimination via penalties...
I'm proud of Japan. I never imagined we'd be in the best 16 this year given our group and recent showings. The game v Denmark is one that I'll never forget and I'm already looking forward to 2014. We have a new no.1 keeper...
I always thought it was a bit of a waste of a character space and accessory space. We've got Terra, Celes, Locke, Edgar etc who can already equip really good weapon, armours; why make another character 'catch up' to them by equipping them merit award? you can easily use that accessory slot to...
Gau has one of the best average base stats in the game, up there with Shadow (discounting Umaro). He has really good magic stats and speed, so I just gave him good magic and used him as a mage. I don't like his ability because it's so unpredictable (and sometimes annoying because he uses crap...
Sacking Capello now would mean huge compensation just like Sven. Can the FA afford that? will it be worth it? Also getting someone like Redknapp wouldn't be cheap either unless Spurs are nice.
The FA were idiots when they removed the clause that allowed them to get rid of Capello for free...
to be honest, the questions are all yes/no, so if you take a long time it's easily possible to get it all right.
just answer yes for all questions at the first attempt, then change one of your answers to no in the second. then depending on whether your final score goes up or down, you'll know...
This I agree. England lack players with technique as their main asset. Lampard is probably the only World-class player known for his technique, the others are more known for driving forward with pace and power.
A good team generally has good mixture of skill and physique. English players...
KEISUKE HONDA YOU BEAUTIFUL MAN.
and to think we were going to sack Okada just a month ago. Best performance in years. We officially have a new star to replace Nakata.
it's a perfectly fair form of defending. it's the same thing as Barcelona passing the ball in their own half for the last few minutes, same as making a sub in injury time, same as the goalkeeper waiting for the striker to close him down before picking up the ball etc etc.
I don't see anything...
ENGLAND V GERMANY :gasp:
should be good, if England can continue like today. Barry will have to be at his very best.
two tasty knock-out games already; England - Germany, Argentina - Mexico.
its normal for a classic RPG, the early Dragon Quests are very difficult at the start too if you go too far without training. A big difference is you can save pretty much anywhere in FF unlike in DQ where you can only save in towns, so it's not that bad.
If anything we should be complaining...
Dragon Quest
As a series I prefer FF but DQ6 is one of my all time favourite games (highly highly recommended when it comes out for DS). The theme music is the perfect way to start the game.
Fire Emblem
I love FE, loved the difficulty when it was on the NES/SNES and the theme. FE4 is also one...
