I just got the game this past weekend and I can see why people are upset about it. I just got to the part with the crystal sea, and so far.... the game had been going for 3 hours, and I was making progress, but virtually no story being told. Lots of mundane crap that could be merged and...
FFI - Properly Rated. It was greatly featured in Nintendo Power and had its own strategy guide that Nintendo Power put out. It's a great game (for the time) considering that this was supposed to be the last game Square ever made, but it had lots of recognition at the time (and it's also the one...
For me, several things:
1) In the Honeybee Inn, when Cloud sees himself and tells himself you can't change things by sitting there and looking at it. That whole scene just freaked me out. Not sure why
2) When Cloud was sick and he was basically just a vegetable. Just the way he responded and...
Yeah, I hated that dark elf battle. Also the battle with Golbez you mentioned was pretty tough as well. Also that sealed cave with those trap doors... THAT was the worst part of the game and always a struggle to get through. When you get through with the PS1 version, try to get your hands on...
Right now going through 2 of them: FF10 (again) and FF13 (for the first time). I can go through several RPG's at once because I keep journals as I do. Therefore, when I load the game, I know exactly what I have to do and what's going on. FF13 kinda does that redundantly on its own so I don't...
Oh, good GOD was there a long list of books I had to read that I hated to read. Just a few required reading was: The Scarlet Letter, The Sun Also Rises (Hemmingway only wrote about mundane everyday stuff so was boring), Their Eyes Were Watching God (written in dialect so VERY hard to read)...
All versions seem easier than the DS remake. I think the PS1 version is about the same as the old SNES version with some of the censorship taken out. Can't remember if they added the character abilities that were taken out of the game the first time though... not that they were useful.
I...
What am I NOT looking forward to? Let me see....
Playing Blitzball. In the original, blitzball was kind of an empty shell of what could have been an awesome minigame. Instead it's kinda like soccer in water. They should have used the full 3d of the sphere and allow one to actually make the...
That's crazy.... if it's real. Though I guess with enough practice, one can get good at just about anything. I'm working on getting that good with throwing tennis balls to dogs.
I'm gonna say either ummm a certain person dying in Phantasy Star 2, or umm who the hero is in Metal Gear Solid 3. Not sure how to say without actually giving the spoiler away though.
Yeah, which version of Final Fantasy 4 was this? I remember beating him relatively easily on the SNES version I had when I was a kid. Don't remember the PS1 remake if he was easy or not. I have the remakes on the DS and PSP but haven't gotten to Zeromus yet. I imagine on the DS remake he's gonna...
Hey, welcome to the forums. Tis a pretty cool place, and always a lot going on it seems.
Got depression? I know the PERFECT cure for it.... a harmonica. When I'm sad and depressed, a harmonica always makes me feel better. Give it a try
Well... right now I fix gate openers, and I do love fixing things. However my dream job would be driving a Zamboni machine. Hell, they even made a song about wanting to be a Zamboni driver.
Well... why not? Not sure who knows me or not, but I pretty much always got stuff to say... or I'll listen to you if you wanna vent or what not.

I beat FF1-10 (had to do 2 and 3 on emulators at the time, and FF5 on the FF Chronicles port, but everything else on original discs). I played FFX-2 and FF12, but to me... they just dont' feel very Final Fantasy like. Debating on getting FF13 with this in mind.
First time I ever played this game (on the NES when I was a kid) my first party was Fighter, Thief, Black Belt, and Fighter. No mages. Now, it's usually Fighter, Thief, Red Mage, and Black Mage.... now that I think about it, isn't that how 8 Bit Theater did it?
Well, back in the late 90's to the early 2000's I felt a lot like Squall. Squall responded to a lot of situations the way I would have, and our thought processes were very much the same. Now, I feel more like Cid in FF4. I have no idea why.
Wow.... I can't believe nobody has noticed this. But then again, I never thought to leave Memoria that many times for what would seem like no reason. Seems like a lot of work, so almost nobody would even bother. Amazing people STILL find new stuff in these games.
I'd keep Yuffie... even though she made me hate her. Heck, I'd almost be willing to have her as a secret boss since I wanted to beat the crap out of her after that whole Wutai incident. I never liked Vincent too much. His story seemed kinda weak (he let Hojo knock up the woman he was in love...
