Well uprading weapons was nice ,but since we needed to upgrade all to get the trophie,well it was a pain in the ass too!

Its the system that every other RPG are doing,and yer right it dosen't make sense but its the best way to make the player love the game. I mean you can farm gil at the same time you farm crystarium point! Its very good that way!
