I just had everyone learn the same thing, just as I did in FFVI - they all had similar armor, weapons - just different summons. My main tanks were Vaan and Basch though, best mage types were Fran and Pennelo.

Yeah, be careful with Slagworms. Each physical hit brings on a Sandstorm, and sometimes it'll do two in a row. Best thing to do is to either Banish it, or cast Ultima until you are strong enough to kill it with physical attacks.

I'm making a return to FFXII today, I've put off playing it for so long, because of other games and Uni, but now I am gonna get back into it. The game is just so vast, so many places to explore, monsters to fight, tis all exciting stuff.

Lol, you didn't even get to "play" the game as such in X-2, you just watched your characters mess about. So much for fun interaction. In X, it was godly. You got to choose your moves, pass to whoever, and actually SEE the game in action.

A lot of people think the same as you really..X is generally well liked, especially for the story. My only gripe is some parts of the Sphere Grid, the rushed voice acting (some scenes characters speak too quickly, and the copious amounts of FMV's. Loved everything else for the most part...

No game is worth that amount of money tbh. Currently on ebay you can get the game for just about £11. Anyway, welcome, and get playing FFIX, it's a damn good game!
