I have mixed feelings abouy it but I voted love it rather than hate it. It could have been better but it could have been worse too.

This game was an epic fail. Highly NOT recommended.

Squall getting skewered for me was just a "wow, he's a tough bastard" moment that I thought nothing about later. I mean, maybe there was something we missed? Gah, now I have to go back and play it again.

I personally thought VIII was a great game. The only thing I hated was playing as Laguna and crew at certain points. Oh and the draw magic feature. Eh it was okay. But everything else was completely lovable about the game.

Yeah the plot was confusing and I've been through the game at least 5 or 6 times. There were so many holes to fill for me and CC really cleared a lot up. AC helped a little bit and DOC was something on it's own. But the ending of that ties in with CC pretty well so there is still more to be...

Reall? When did they actually make it Aerith though. Is that the original Japanese name given to her? My dad bought me FFVII when I was like 12 or 13 when it was a "greatest hits" game for the playstation. When I met her the default name was Aeris.

I really didn't get into IX as much as VII and VIII. But I think both are really good. FFVII just has more success I think with all the add ons and such but I agree. I think they could just make the graphics 100Xs better and keep the gameply the same. No comprimising the game, and better...

I'm not sure but I think that meteor from way back when Jenova came is what made it like that. Hell the next question would be how did your party survive the extreme temp. right by the core?

I use Cloud, Barrett and Tifa. Tifa is mainly my support character since she doesn't put out much damage but later is on the level with Barrett. So they kind of both become mainly support and Cloud is the heavy hitter once all limit breaks are acquired.

I'm not one to bitch about the small stuff so there really wan't anything that I didn't like. I do agree that the materia system could have been better along with the limit break/dmw system. But I'll take it regardless.

I agree. It was a definite given for me to get it being such a huge fan and all. I think it turned out great. It tied in very well with the original ffvii and I'm looking foward to a possible sequel to DOC now.

Well my theory on it is that she really has a thing for Cloud. You can see it in the game and in AC. Plus the fact that Cloud liked her as a child makes sense too. So if not already hinted in AC (and I think it was) I believe they will get together in the next installment of the compilation...

I know we all like to think Cloud is the best but somewhere here I read that Sephiroth just got too cocky which is true. I think Sephiroth could beat Cloud. But at the same time Cloud has that undying determination found in him again just like he did in FFVII. So I'd say at the very least...

IDK I haven't really noticed a divide in the fan base. What's the word on the streets these days? Does everyone hate the sequels/prequels?
