Pirates of the Caribbean 3. This is the worst film I've ever seen, no doubt. I had no idea what the hell was happening and gave up less that half way through.
Jumper. Possibly one of the most boring and un-engaging films I've ever watched all the way through. Truly dire.
The Harry Potter...
I agree, 'Final Fantasy' as us 90's and early-noughties people remember was the pinnacle of the series. 7 and 9 were 2 of the best games I have ever played and one of these would be the game I would pick if I was to be marooned on a desert island. True FF has long since ended. I bought 12 and...
Good topic!
I think quite a few games went on too long when they should have really called it a day. FFX-2 was the moment (I think) that the 'bad sheep' showed it's head. Now I've not got a ton of hatred for X-2 but it was too cheesy, girly and too gimmicky for a FF. You had no character...
FF6 on PS1 - Started it up numerous times but never finished it. Got to the World of Ruin (?) but never any further.
Deathtrap Dungeon on PS1 - Love and hate this game at the same time.
Pharoah on PC - played on this for HOURS!!!! Does this game ever end?
Metal Gear Solid 2 on the PS2 - Didn't...
Warzone 2100, no doubt was the hardest game ever. I could get to level 4 or 5 (i think) but then couldn't get any further - it was impossible even on the Easy setting. This level had a 2 hour time limit but trying to defeat the enemy in this time-period just wasn't possible and even if you had...
I grew up with an Amiga 500 (which isn't strictly a console). However, it was ace and there were a lot of really good games available (Fire and Ice, Superfrog, Cannon Fodder etc.) - I really enjoyed this era. I then had a Megadrive which again was top-notch. Many games were ports from the Amiga...
Let me explain... The best Worse game ever is a game that (for example) had poor graphics, repetitive gameplay, a bad storyline and generally not a lot of good things going for it. However, for some reason the game actually works well even though it is bad.
An example would be a Net Yaroze game...
How do you stand on Costa Del Sol in FF7 then? :) Nah, I do agree with this. Personally i think it's very difficult for things to be completely, 100% original anyway.
I always thought the best things about FF's (specifically 7, 8 and 9) were their weird and wonderful originality. In 7, a Planet...
Square Enix were never "on their way" so I can't really say that they lost it. Squaresoft were the boys that knew what they were doing producing the games we know and love.
XII was the worst game I've ever played, no question and I then decided to not play on XIII and from many reports, this...
Did i like Vaan? We considering I really really didn't like XII as a whole, the answer is no. You are meant to care about the characters and in a FF you must be able to relate and warm to them but the whole crew were just like hollow shells. There was no reason at all why the 6 of them should...
Glad everyone else likes strolling around too! Also, thanks for mentioning plenty of other games that had worlds that were alive and interactive - i've now got plenty more games to go out and play on :)
The other night, me and my brother were reminiscing about old games (as you do) and I started talking about GTA: San Andreas. I enjoyed the game a lot but I was more of a Vice City fan myself - however, this isn't my point. What I really liked is just getting in a car and going for a drive...
Man, that's a good question. I remember first seeing the trailer for FF7 on one of the original demo discs that came with the PS1. I remember watching the trailer and getting goosebumps just thinking how amazingly epic FF7 looked. I knew I wanted this game so I went to the local second hand shop...
I really connected with almost all the characters from FF4 - FF10 so it's hard to pick my absolute favourite one. I'd have to say though that one of my very favourite characters was Kain from FF4. Throughout the game he'd be good, then evil, then good again and then back to being evil. Thing is...
Yes, I do think a remake of this game should be made just because the original was so very poor.
Firstly, a new bunch of characters who actually have some depth to them should be added - you need to get rid of the current sextet of bland, souless vessels. Next, they need to get rid of the...
In all honestly, and looking at things from a business point of view, almost all businesses are out to make as much money as possible. If a company can cater to the mass market, it's certainly is going to try. Unfortunately, the mass market will accept any old rubbish these days (Call of Duty 2...
I think all that FF has become now is a cash cow. The brand had built itself up to such a strong point that just the name 'Final Fantasy' or 'SquareSoft' made you think of quality. Now though, the very poor excuses for Final Fantasy's are slowly dragging the brand through the mud.
It's very...
I also thought the world of Spira was very polished and it generally felt just a nice place to be. I don't know what it was but everywhere you went felt as if it could be somewhere on earth, just a little more magical. Places like Besaid, Kilika Woods, Moonflow and Macalania all had a warm...
For some reason I could never get along with Selphie. It might have been that i thought her weapon of nunchucks was a bit pants.
I think though the most irritating character was Ashe from XII. I couldn't stand any of the team in XII but Ashe annoyed me the most because EVERY time she had...
