I think I too was around 30 (of course I was playing on the old NES). Bravo for wanting to be original, but do not be too proud to just use the Dragoon method; I would not consider it cheesing as it has plot support (The whole town of Dragoons thing) and he is darn tough otherwise. Good luck! D4D
