I agree. If you are willing to go all the way back to the 16 bit games, the Lufia games are pretty good. And since you did not like the Xenosaga games(neither did I), then maybe you can go back and play Xenogears for the PS1. Aside from the AVALANCHE of dialogue, it is pretty good.

No, Dissidia is not a part of the main FF series. It is just a fanboy game made to pit all the FF characters against each other. There is no connection whatsoever.
