Yeah, I'll give you this much: Kefka was a catalyst for a lot of what happened in Terra's life. However, I'm talking about Sephiroth being a major figure in Cloud's past. Terra was just another victim as far as Kefka was concerned; he didn't really have any special connection or any sort of...
Ahem...*clears throat and steps up to the microphone*
Kuja.
That is all.
...
Nah, I'm just kidding you guys. You know me better than that. Anyway, it really depends on what we're talking about here. In terms of depth and character development, Kuja takes this. He easily has the most...
The storyline only subtly hints at any sort of progression in power on Cloud's part. The primary focus of his development was his growth as a character rather than as a fighter, though it's only reasonable to assume that he would've improved after perhaps months of fighting against monsters and...
Um...how 'bout a gun? ^^; If we're talking about real life, I don't think you'd get as far with a sword as you would in a Final Fantasy game (even a sword as badass as the Buster Sword or Masamune). So, yeah, considering we have to follow the laws of physics here, I'd take the fully automatic...
Yeah, Kunsel and his friend (Luxiere, I believe? I think I spelled it wrong...) Anyway, I definitely think that it's an exclusive group. If I remember correctly, back when Cloud thought that he was an ex-1st Class SOLDIER, he said so himself when talking to Aerith about whether or not he knew...
I certainly don't think you're a hater. I'm worried that people are getting the wrong idea, actually. I don't dislike people who aren't fond of Sephiroth's character, I just can't stand the obnoxious, stuck-up, self-righteous haters who think that Final Fantasy VII and all Final Fantasy VII...
I'll tell ya, man, it's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it.

Yes, it's true that Sephiroth is relatively undamaged after the fight, but you forget that Sora was ready for more, too. He was talking smack and acting quite confident in himself...
Man, I thought we were past this stage of the argument...Anyway, as I said many times before, you can't use Cloud's victories over Sephiroth to prove his superiority to Zack. None of them were fair fights by any means. The scales were either significantly tipped in Cloud's favor, or Sephiroth...
Sephiroth is far from the strongest villain. He's a Mid-Tier antagonist as far as Final Fantasy goes; certainly not the weakest by any means, but there are several who could blow him out of the water with ease and at least one (Kefka) who could probably match him in single combat. Sephiroth...
I wasn't really replying to you specifically, I was just trying to get in my response before a Seph vs. Kef war began...as much as I regrettably love them. It's a guilty pleasure, actually. I don't so much mind that you don't like Sephiroth, though. Of course everyone is entitled to their...
Actually, Supernova does damage based on percentages. I believe it always leaves your character in critical HP. So, yeah, if your Player Character has about 4100 HP, then Supernova can't do more than about 4000, but a character with, say, 9999 HP would receive much greater damage from it...
So circumstances got in the way of Kefka being more powerful. Tough luck, I guess. If only the game were made a few years later, then maybe he'd be able to beat Sephiroth, but alas, no FMVs for Kefka.

Behold, mere mortal, Cthulhu.
Time Compression did take effect, but it didn't completely take effect. Had Ultimecia completed Time Compression, she probably would've been a genuine death god with complete control over the laws of physics. However, it was stopped before she got that far. She had still absorbed enough of the...
Thank you, sir. Thank you. It's been so long since I actually had a debate around here. I was beginning to think that my elitist services were...unneeded.
I think you overestimate Kefka. He was the god of magic in the FF6 universe, which doesn't seem to give him as much power as Kuja had in his...
Guys, guys, guys...I think this picture says it all. Garland would knock those impertinent fools down without a problem. Kuja and Ultimecia have nothing on this badass. They might have world destroying powers and control over space and time, but...Garland, man...Garland.
In all seriousness, my...
Even if that were the case, Chaos Vincent still moves fast enough to dodge it. He, too, is capable of moving at such high velocities that he's invisible to the untrained eye. In fact, he's capable of maintaining such speeds for at least several seconds and maneuvering well enough to clash with...
I actually think most of the truly annoying Final Fantasy characters are missing from that list. What about Quina? Amarant? Kimhari? My gawd, why isn't Cait Sith on that list?! Cait Sith is probably the most annoying character ever, not just including Final Fantasy characters. Anyway, some of...
IX all the way, man. VIII has nothing on that game, except maybe a cooler weapon for the main character, but compared to all the other clear advantages IX has over VIII, even the awesomeness of the Gunblade can't bridge the immensely large gap between the two. First off, IX has a cast of...
I'm going to have to go with X on this one. It was just...more preferrable overall. First off, it had characters with actual personalities, which XII seems to have had a bit of trouble with. Now, don't get me wrong, X's cast was far from the deepest bunch out there, but at least they bothered to...
