I tend to be a bit more outgoing online than offline, but I guess that is mostly due to the fact that I have the luxury to sit and think about what I'm typing when I'm at a computer, whilst in face to face encounters I generally don't have that much time to build up the confidence to say what I...
I found them to be pretty dull, to be honest. As someone else pointed out earlier in the thread, they seemed to be little more than blatant fanservice, and we never really found out much of substance regarding them. I could tolerate Fran as a playable character - but I didn't use her myself...
I have a lovely house cat myself, and I wouldn't dream of having her declawed. At the end of the day, if someone is going to get a pet they should look after it and treat it with care. In my opinion, declawing an animal for the sake of sparing furniture a few potential scratch marks is just...
That's pretty creepy, I was under the impression that it was common practice for doctors to look back at a patients medical history. If they knew he'd been stabbed earlier on in his life, I'd expect them to piece the two events together and realise something was seriously wrong.
It's good that...
I've been told I need to get glasses myself, but I've never gotten around to getting an eye test. I find them a little intimidating, I guess - and contact lenses just freak me out because I hate putting anything near my eyes.
I have no problem with other people wearing them, though. It's the...
It takes a bit of persuading, but I'm usually up for trying new things so long as I know/find someone I can feel at ease with. Generally though, if I'm with my friends I won't care if I embarass myself.
I've met plenty of people online who have played and enjoyed at least one FF game, but in regards to face to face contact...I've met a handful at best. I have also noticed that a lot of people seem to bash the RPG genre without actually having much experience with it.
I never used to suffer from it, but when I hit my late teens I pretty much found myself afflicted by it whenever the pollen count was rather high. I'm dreading summer this year because I've moved further into the countryside, so I predict it's going to hit me harder.
That said, it's been mostly...
I don't particularly mind having to sit next to someone if there is a genuine need for it, but I really dislike having to talk to or listen to strangers rambling on about random stuff.
I'm social around friends and family, but even then there's times I just want to sit back and drift off into...
It's easy to point out flaws in a game in hindsight, but at the time I never considered combat in FF9 to be slow. Looking back and comparing it to more recent titles, there's a notable difference...but for an RPG of its time, FF9 was very smooth in my opinion. Few games have impressed me as much...
I'm pretty excited about the game, I enjoyed Oblivion and so I have high hopes regarding Skyrim. So long as it remains immersive and rewards random exploration/questing I'll love it.
I don't use Ebay as much as I probably could, bu the last thing I bought was a PSP copy of Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions. It was £12 for an unopened copy and since I hadn't seen it in any of the shops I went into, I consider it a bargain.
Truth be told, I've never really been a of multiplayer games. I did enjoy them when I was younger - back when I first played Tekken - but I guess I just got so into the RPG genre that gaming for me has become more about immersion and less about playing with other gamers.
That said, I do play a...
Well, I can't say I was too impressed with FFXIII, so I doubt I'll purchase the sequel. Money is rather tight at the moment and whilst I had the luxury to splash out on games that appealed to me in the past, I'm becoming increasingly disappointed in the general quality and lack of replayability...
I've never really considered him to be evil, but he was definitely led astray - partly due to his arrogance, but largely due to circumstances outside of his control. As far as I see it, Squall could just as readily walked down a similar path if the wrong buttons had been pushed.
I feel very sorry for her because in that line of work, there is an incredible amount of pressure and the slightest mistake or slip up can often be punished both unfairly and in a rather harsh manner.
Whether it's down to stress or some sort of medical condition, I can only hope she recovers...
I'd say that overall the only aspect of the game that impressed me was the graphics.
The developers tried something new in terms of action focused gameplay, but if this is an indication of the future of FF games then I'm afraid I'll be sticking to replaying the earlier FF titles.
I suppose it boils down to personal taste, but I had no problem with the character development in FF12. It was a refreshing change of pace in both gameplay and story telling. It wasn't as 'in your face' as earlier titles, and took a more serious stance.
Though I'm biased due to loving Ivalice...
