I don't think they were necessarily harder, but the game did a poor job of preparing you for the battles. Often times I'd find myself running back and forth in an area to grind, and part of that is the lack of random encounters. So yes, it was a bit harder in some battles to win, but it wasn't...
Final Fantasy IV is a blast to play, but I have never tried Chrono Trigger. I've heard so many great things from it but haven't yet had a chance to try it out myself. I'm definitely going to look into it, as well so some other non-Final Fantasy RPG's from the 90's, to help broaden my...
What makes a good retro RPG and enhances the formula?
While this post is mainly for personal use, I believe it could benefit many people. The question is summed up pretty well in the title. I'm wondering what steps can be made to improve on the retro RPG structure. What can improve battles...
It'll be ages before the game comes out as well. FF XV's due for release before KH III, and XV's looking at a 2015/2016 release date, meaning III's still years away. Don't fret it, you'll be able to get a good priced PS4 by then. :)
I think it's important they get 2.5 out of the way as soon as possible so they can focus on FF XV and KH III. Once this is done, the team only has to worry about those two.
I totally agree with you, I can't wait for XV either. :gasp:
Yesterday, shortly after the Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix announcement, Sony posted a new gameplay trailer for Kingdom Hearts III, which showcases some of the new battle elements included in the latest installment. Incredible particle effects, HD characters, and currently non-attacking enemies...
As previously believed, Square-Enix is working on a second ReMIX for the Kingdom Hearts series. The second, 2.5, also features 3 games, this time consisting of Kingdom Hearts 2, Birth by Sleep, and HD remastered cutscenes from Re:Coded. Both of the playable games are their Japan-exclusive Final...
I have a sealed version of Final Fantasy V and VI for PS1 (the Anthology collection). I've played a ROM of FF VI (which is legal since I own the game) and want to open it so I can play on my PS3. Should I keep it sealed and sell it or open and play?
Awesome! I hope someone uploads this demo somewhere so I can download it over here in the US. I'm really looking forward to seeing the demo! :D

My thoughts:
Yeah, that's me. I use this picture for failures like this...
This game looks like something my eight year old brother would love and my ten year old brother would start crying because he's laughing his ass off so hard.
First off, it looks like they hired someone who has less...
Final Fantasy has changed me quite a bit as well.
One of the things it's done is inspired me to create this video games series I'm creating. I've been creating stories since I was in 1st grade, and been writing them down since 3rd. I've been working with video games since 6th grade, and am...
I think the Vita's gonna be pretty awesome, considering some specs I saw in Game Informer Magazine. Apparently, the hardware is more powerful than both the PS3 and 360. That's pretty impressive for a handheld system, imo.
Time to go get another job to pay for my Vita! xD PSPhone, you'll have to...
Also, people tend to only have ONE PSP or DS. They don't usually break, or need to be "upgraded" to the newest model. Cell phones go out of style monthy for some people. Just another reason why it would make more sense having a handheld game instead of a mobile game.
Cell phones were made to...
But not everyone feels safe having their PSP or DS on them at all times. Generally people have their cell phone on them 24/7.
The mobile industry in Japan must be quite large, because there have been a lot of mobile games made by Square-Enix...

You can put your cell phone in your pocket and nearly everyone has a cell phone. Other than that, there really aren't any pluses...

"New" means it's a new addition to the latest update, I'm guessing, considering it's a mobile game that comes out with new "episodes" every week or so.
