So you don't like a console... because some of its fans can act like children... Alrighty then.
FF1 being on another platform doesn't mean much if the NES was a priority. Like I said earlier, all ports are going to, to some extent, be based off of the original and its limitations.
You just...
Wasn't going to say it, but dude, this is definitely nostalgia and subjectivity talking. It's totally cool if you prefer games like Phantasy Star; more power to you. But arguing that a game is 'boring' doesn't really mean much to anyone but you. What you find boring, I might not; and the...
Yeah, I've gotta agree with greeny here. I personally don't really like FF1-3 either. But I'm not going to pretend that every other J-RPG from that time (including Phantasy Star) doesn't have extremely similar issues. There were just a ton of technical limitations that held them back, and every...
With gamers today, it most certainly is a case of 'damned if I do, damned if I don't' unfortunately. Basically everything in games is (and life, really), because the open nature of the internet means every tiny complaint can have a huge voice that carries far. Not saying the open nature of the...
I've convinced a few friends to play FFVII. Most of them had never played that one game. One of them had never played an RPG. He has since played a ton of RPGs, lol.
Looks good, but I'm scared because they continue to show flashy stuff over core gameplay mechanics. None of the KH games have been balanced in any way since KH2FM (and even then, that's only balanced on Proud and Critical). And since Osaka team has done all of those other games, and is doing...
Yeah it could. But the issues that come with that are comparatively minuscule when stacked up to the issues that come with staying stagnant. With constant experimentation, it can be difficult to find/please/maintain a fanbase, because people tend to be fickle. What is important in Final Fantasy...
I think it's valid, but I think it's unhealthy. If you look at the J-RPG series' that tend to stay the most consistent, it's often the ones that also feel the most 'by the numbers' and lifeless. Games like the Tales series really do often feel like the same game ten different times. They're...
Just for the 3DS?! From what I heard, they recently mentioned that they're open to other major remakes after the FFVII one, so I'd want to see it on a home console instead.
We can continue such a conversation in a PM if you want. So if that's something you're interested in, just send one my way. But this is getting too off topic, and I don't want to flood the thread with such things :)
Would you really rather them give a general date so early and then have to push it back? I wouldn't. 'Next three years' could mean as soon the end of this year... it won't, but it could. It doesn't have to mean it'll be in the latter part of those three years.
I generally prefer a game to be at the length that matches the development goals. I stopped caring about length a long time ago. I realized that I can't get back the time I spend, so I prefer to spend it on excellent experiences, rather than on a handful of great experiences surrounded by tons...
Well that survey is only a single multiple choice question, and it offers that 10 year interim as a potential DLC option to vote for. They will bever make a sequel about that, so if you want it, you might think to vote for it.
Also... 400 hours? You... are... crazy :P
Well a few things. First off, there is no implication that anyone but Noct dies at the end. So you're safe there. But beyond that, there's nothing post XV to continue from. The ending implies that the darkness -which entirely exists within Ardyn- is gone, and possibly even the line of Lucis...
Yeah, I think I'm done with those harder timed quests. Seems the XV team's idea of 'difficulty', is enemies that you spend 75% of your time in the item menu when fighting, because they one-shot you and your team members constantly. It's tedious, extremely poorly designed, and lasts far too long...
I never really had any funny glitches happen, unless you include fast traveling to a nearby gas station, only to find Ignis was suddenly translucent like he was a ghost. It wouldn't fix itself until I fast traveled somewhere else, but when I went back, it would happen again.
