Not at all. Look at Sephiroth's Super Nova and a Malboro's breath attack. They may not do as much damage as KOTR, but are brutally annoying and the game doesn't mind throwing that cheese at the player. If I didn't have KOTR, beating Emerald Weapon would have been much, much harder, if not...

I certainly found it more difficult than II. The hardest part of the game that stands out for me is the Phoenix Cave. That was a real bitch.

I've always liked Lulu. Her stuffed toy weapons are a riot. You encounter an enormous monster like an Iron Giant, and the little turd hops out of Lulu's hands and just charges at it like a pissed off rhino. lol
