Yeah, orchestral shows certainly count! :monster:
That's a pretty sweet list of bands you've seen! I forgot I saw Opeth play at Download as well but I only caught the last ten or fifteen minutes of their set haha. Mindless Self Indulgence though! I had a massive crush on their bass player back...
Ooh, I got one! :monster:
Abomination - FFIX
Deep within the tunnels of Fossil Roo dwell the Abomination. It is said that, many years ago, there was a wicked mage who lured Qu from their marshes with the promise of granting them good looks and the prospect of fitting in with society. Most Qu...
Hmm. I kinda always imagined Vivi, and other Black Mages, to just be made up of a condense cloud of black mist. I always felt that if it wasn't for the clothes they were wearing, you could probably just walk right through them. Seems illogical because they walk like humans and can touch...
I love Pendulum! I had the fortune of seeing them live in Dublin back in 2008. Full band playing as well with all the wicked lighting and everything. It was incredible. :D
I'm now listening to some good ole' Dropkick Murphys. :monster:
I like the look of the menu screen! I hope the colours are customisable like they were in the original. I know it wasn't exactly a game changing mechanic, but I thought it was a neat little feature regardless.
What bands have you guys seen live? Which have been the best? Which have been the worst? Have you ever gone to see bands you've never heard of before?
In my mid to late teens, I pretty much only went to small/local gigs. They'd be friends bands, or whichever up and coming punk and metal bands...
Generally speaking, in my experience, it's a form of frustration and/or aggression. If someone's pissed off, they'd storm off and slam a few doors on their way out or whatever. I get sometimes it's accidental, like if there's a draft passing through the house, or if the kids are overexcited. But...
Gen 1 here. I remember buying Pokemon Blue off some kid in my class for 50p. This was back in... either 98 or 99. Probably 98. Man, that was the best deal I ever had. I played Gold all the way through as well, and some of either Ruby or Sapphire, but they didn't quite pique my interest as much...
I think VII was the first FF game for the majority of western gamers. Could be wrong. It was my first, and pretty much everyone else's I've spoken to. I guess with what you choose first though. With the VII remake coming out soon, I'd suggest going for VIII or IX, especially since they have HD...
After completing the main story, I do have to say I am quite disappointed. The final boss was a big let-down, unfortunately. :hmmm: I found that last hurdle too easy in comparison to the rest of the game. It seemed to have drawn some inspiration from Shadow of the Colossus and, potentially, this...
I guess this thread could have been posted in The Lifestream, but since this topic is more specific to films. I think this could make for a pretty interesting debate here. :monster:
So, basically... sexuality is something that gets made into a big deal in films if a certain character is...
Logan is a fantastic film. I'm hoping that and Deadpool lead on to X-Men titles that are just as good, if not better, because so far they're the only two really good films in that universe. :hmmm: I mean, X-Men First Class showed a lot of promise but then went terrible with Days of Future Past...
Voting #2. I love how colourful it is and the gradient on the text and border works really nicely. #1 was well-made also, but I feel that the mostly black and white colour scheme doesn't really compliment a Zelda-themed piece, although that splash of red really does make it look awesome. :hmmm...
I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. :hmmm:
It's probably got some of my favourite characters in the entire FF series, though. Basch, Balthier and Fran in particular were great characters, I thought. Asche was interesting and engaging enough as well, though I wasn't really keen on Vaan...
