i think all the new final fantasy that are upcoming are all connected in a way. Maybe side storys or something.

Final Fantasy in my opinion is the best Final Fantasy out there it was the only Final Fantasy good enough to have a second game* Which wanst that good*. But Final Fantasy has a great story its not complex but it is well sorted and good ploted. This Final Fantasy is beyond great.
