I really don't know why anyone would make it up that sort of stuff. They don't get money and the majority of the time the one telling the tale is made fun of I never really speak of that apparition encounter, and when I do it's just to my family--cuz i know others would think I was telling a lie or was crazy.
It is pretty spooky though. I'm pretty sure my house is haunted.
