I like it a lot. It was really fun to get into and most of the characters were very likeable (except Tidus, he was annoying). I loved the whole summoners and their guardians thing, and the ending was great, even if it was a little depressing.
FFX is probably my fourth favourite FF, after VIII...
I usually have either one of two partys.
The first is Squall, Zell and Rinoa. Squall and Zell have the best and most damaging limit breaks, whereas Rinoa has the best magical abilities. I use this team for bosses.
The second is Squall, Irvine and Selphie/Quistis. Squall and Irvine for...
I've played FFVIII several times right through, though I won't claim to be an expert, I do know the game pretty well.
Three things I would recommend before taking on Ultimecia are:
1. Make sure you have more than the story-line GF's. Go out and find Buhammat, Tonberry King, Doomtrain, Eden and...
Squall. I don't really like most of the typical FF protagonists. Squall is cold, sarcastic and a loner (on the outside at least), but he is also driven. He goes to any lengths to acheive his goal. The main story arc is about him trying to accept that he can't just rely on himself, and he goes to...
I absolutely adore this game. It was my first FF, I played it about 7(?) years ago. I have played IV, VII, IX,X,X-2,XII and XIII, and it still remains my favourite.
I loved the story, the characters, the action and the gameplay.
People hate on Squall a lot because he's a loner and a jerk (yes...
Personally I would say Squall was stronger, but only by a bit. I don't have much reasoning for this, but it's just what I got from the game.
At the begining, Seifer cheats to win, I'm sure if they'd been allowed to use magic, the outcome would've been entirely different.
BTW, don't they need to...
I'd absolutly love a re-make or a sequel, but I'd be terrified that they'd ruin it.
Fnding the right voice actors would be a challenge though, as everyone would have their own opinions on what the characters should sound like.
Love it! FFXII is my fav FF after FFVIII. The only thing I hated about it was Vaan. No character has been more completely useless in a FF game than him.
I loved the gambit system (a godsend for lazy people) and the liscence board was a cool spin on FFX's shpere grid.
The Judges were an...
FFVIII was the game that got me hooked to FF and RPGs in general. I borrowed it from my brother when I was about 12, and never gave it back. I ended up with a greater intrest in FF then him in the end.
FFVIII has a cast of totally unique characters and a great story line. Also a tonne of hidden...
VERY interesting. I don't believe it at all, but it all fits and could be valid. The game does have a kind of surreal feel to it, but that's the nature of all FF games.
The whole 'getting stabbed through the chest with a giant icicle' thing can be explained quite simply. It's that simple.
I've been a fan of Final Fantasy since I borrowed my brother's copy of FFVIII and never gave it back. It's still is my favourite.
I recently got back into it all and am now eagerly looking foward to the Australian release of FFXIII.
