For me the "old turn-based" combat was the real "press X button for 60 hours". FFXIII system was better because it cut out some of the crap of waiting long attacks, and it also let you do whatever you wanted each battle instead of the old systems that forced you to save your MPs to the big...
Maybe Square Enix is tired of the FFVi, FFVII and Chrono Trigger widows and are trying to make Final Fantasy appealing to Assassin's Creed, Dishonored, etc, audiences. Those people seem to be buying much more and complaining much less than their "old" audiences.
It would be rather awkward to Square Enix localize more than 90% of the game and let it sit on their shelves.
I would understand their decision if they said they would not even start localization because the localization process cost for the game (including the always-expensive voice acting)...
I've been browsing these charts, and if they are accurate, it looks like no game has the strength to sell more than 500k copies in their launch week anymore.
That being so, comparing FFXIII-2 numbers with past FF numbers is not adequate. That doesn't mean that SE isn't screwed, but maybe it is...
From my ignorance on the whole Japanese game scene, I'd like to see FFXIII-2 sales compared with other high-profile similar games released in Japan recently, for it would give a more accurate view of the matter. Then we could conclude whether it is a FF problem or a general Japanese gaming problem.
Most probably things are like that in real life, aren't they? There are many people with no girlfriend/boyfriend. The more "mundane" the characters are, the better. It is easy writing about a completely fantastic world, but usually the characters are shallow. That question increases depth to the...
From what I can get from Crisis Core, they were kids playing of boyfriend and girlfriend, as they only giggle and insinuate things, but never admit being boyfriend and girlfriend.
Of course your view on their relationship may be different and it is still valid.
I'll not comment about your drama. Everything a person says in a dicussion is his own opinion. You are just avoiding the debate.
Your opinion again. Why can't a person date another twice without loving this person? People even marry on these grounds. You are being illogical here.
So you know...
About the advertisements, you have never seen any advertisement in your whole life that has not exaggerated qualities of a product to sell it. Advertisements are always honest. It must be it...
If your opinion was truth, then you could say Cloud's reaction proves he loved Aerith in a romantic...
Yes, when it is your opinion, it is not biased, when it is an opinion of anyone who disagrees with you it is biased.
To make matters worse, you twist what I have said or imply that I've said what I've not said to make your arguments valid. That doesn't make you right. And that is your...
We can see clearly that the biased post is yours. I didn't even mentioned Tifa, but you are only worried in trying to imply that my opinion is biased because I would be a supporter of Cloud and Tifa relationship. That is the proof of the immaturity of this discussion. I can't believe after 14...
Fallacy (not an offense, this is just the technical term). There are many books, translations from the Ultimanias and other whatnot that show exactly what you said. Not the game and the movie, though.
Then it comes down to how canon you consider these other sources. People who believe in the...
Not really. In fact, I think all the scenes were exaggerated and Zack was just an idiot, happy for thinking he might have become a hero.
The story of the game was nice, though a bit repetitive from FFVII. The execution, though, was poor. Looked like they wanted to put all the emotion they were...
I'd say any game up to FFVII is adequate because, at that time, the games were made targeting 10-year-old audiences. The newer ones I don't know, because I haven't played them and the gaming industry started targeting older audiences.
I'm playing FFV because I've never played it before and, being the one betweenthe highly-praised FFIV and FFVI, I think it deserves a shot. The story is not that developed, it seems, but the job thing is very interesting.
