they don't. they only cause stagger. try it. jecht will use jecht block, which staggers him and the opponent if the attack can crush defence. exdeath's omniblock blocks everything. and i mean everything.

i used cloud to get me to chapter 5, then i used squall for the final chapter. it was hard as hell. maybe harder. i am not doing that again anytime soon. P.s. when you get the moogle summon with terra, there is a funny scene due to the fact of terra's love for moogles.

i know. i would use squall except some of his aerial brave attacks are in a strange setup that i don't use.

Odd as they are, they are very powerful. the only one that compares is Ultima Weapon, which you have to get via cheat codes..

what are your favorite equipments

The AI's are not smart. they spam the same attacks even when i continually to block them, but i don't counterattack. i also want a training stage where the opponent does nothing and you can try out new moves.
