For me? I'd say that it's a tie between Cloud and Squall. At least for the male characters. As for the females, I'd say it's a tie between Tifa, Rikku, and Lightning. Overall, I will still say that may favorite of all time is either Cloud or Squall.

As for me... I tend to use whoever has the highest levels out of the entire group, with the exception of always using Squall and Rinoa, if I can, and lately(I'm currently playing it over again), I've been using Squall, Rinoa and Quistis. If you ask me, it's kind of hard to keep each character...
