It's easier to work your way up from 7 as obviously each game improves graphically. However it's dependant on you as an individual, if you enjoy your retro games then playing back through VI is probably a good shout, if you are more concerned with graphics / gameplay etc I'd probably suggest X...

I've bought ffx / x-2 on every format apart from pc! In fact I even bought it on the switch when it was released :tearjoy:

So, I've never played FFXI or FFXIV partly down to not playing mmo's and partly down to trying FFXII and not quite enjoying the gameplay so much but this was a few years back and I probably didn't give it the time it deserved considering I was 16 and my brain was in my pants at that age...
