I voted for icon #1. I like the gothic surreality feeling it brings out.

This effect can pretty much be used for sigs, icons, or bigger graphic pieces. I called it silent paradise because this technique was used for a resource pack that I made. I'd say it's an intermediate tutorial or mixed. But I did try to break down the steps as basically as possible! Do enjoy! ;P...
