It doesn't drop your stats *that* much when you use a few spells, especially if you periodically refill by drawing them elsewhere. If I have Ultima junctioned to HP, and am far enough into the game where i have HP+ GF abilities, I can cast 10+ ultima per battle and still have 9999 HP. It's all...

Was anyone able to find the Occult Fan I in the Balamb Garden library bookcases in the PC version? I found it in PSX a few years ago, but in PC, it's just *not* there, as far as I can tell. I checked all of 'em for at least a half hour (I was purposely wasting time, ok?) -Kel

Software rendering sucks. The problem is due to good 'ol nVidia phasing out support for 8-bit paletted textures on 5000+ series cards , so what you are getting is black squares for smoke, fog and effects, as well as black instead of transparency on the edges of any 8-bit scenery. Can't be fixed...
