I happen to think that most, if not all, do a decent-enough job of storytelling. I base this on which story was able to grip and engage me the most. On that basis, for me, it's VIII.

Just out of curiousity, is it possible for Odin to appear and take out any of the bosses? His appearances seem random and I've never had him show up and NOT take out the enemy with one attack, even a Marlboro'.

Where ever possible I always try and keep Squall and Rinoa, and then after that it's a call between Zell and Quistis.
