Me and my brother used to play Final Fantasy IX two-player all the time when we were younger. Before we started, we'd each pick 4 characters we wanted and set the controllers accordingly. I always got Zidane, Freya, Amarant and Eiko and my brother always got Garnet, Vivi, Steiner and Quina. We'd...
Seymour Guado (the first fight)
You just weren't ready for such a difficult battle and his two guado servants did NOT help matters at all! Neither did Anima.
I think I played a 4-5 hour Blitzball tangent before..
it was the most compelling and addictive Final Fantasy minigame and possibly the most interesting in it's premise.
I do agree, every Final Fantasy is worth the time and effort because each immerses you in a different way.
Though my personal favourite of the series is IX, if asked, I will always say X is the best of the series.
Due to it being on a next-gen console (well next-gen of it's time), things that...
Although my personal favourite is 9. I believe if ANY game of the series deserves a fully-fledged next-gen remake, it's 6! The heavily gothic/steampunk imagery the game tried to convey just wasn't fully capable on the SNES cartridge and there are many sections and characters in the game that'd...
Certainly added to the visual aspect of the game but I did wish their backgrounds were a little better backed-up or at least have more of them in the game. Like a village of hippo folk like Hippaul so you sorta think "Aaaah, so that's where his parents came from" or at least a racial name. I did...
Squaresoft, not Square Enix.
If it was Square Enix, it'd just be a sequel to Final Fantasy VIII with a horrific real-time battle system and a graphical and artistic style that just makes it look like every other game they've released...
Final Fantasy IV is what it's all about!
it was not only the first Final Fantasy with an introcate plotline but it was one of the first RPGs to have one.
It's considered the VII of it's day (No wonder it's had 5 rereleases and a remake!) and is a MUST for anyone who calls him or herself a...
In my oppinion, you should flog your copy of VII and buy this beauty!
And since I myself recieved a flogging of a different kind for making such a short post, I shall explain why!!
Final Fantasy 9 remains, to me, the most visually capturing of the series! Even though 10 was obviously the most...

On the subject of sequels. I think what made Final Fantasy so amazing origionally is that even though each title was the same series with one number up, there were no sequels! You got a different world, different characters, different gameplay, different music and different story every time...
There was nothing in this game that fell short of the mark for artistic and emotional perfection.
The characters were deep, interesting and funny at times and you grew to love them and hate them. Even NPCs such as Regent Cid and Black Mage No.288 you grew heavily attatched to. The music score...
