Some of the monsters you had to beat to get these weapons and ribbons were nigh impossible to beat, nevermind the way and the invisible paths you had to go to get them.......i got them all but it took me nearly 2 years to find kains final weapon...anyone else have this prob/

I got them all. I hated the doom eyes where he would cast doom on all your party members and then cast haste so that the time ran down faster. I had to kill a character before battle in order to beat him.

There was also the other one that kept continusly casting Tsunami which was also very annoying.

Now that I've thought about this, I do vaguely remember these battles. I'm pretty sure that I had to fight some sort of white dragon to get Edge's ultimate weapon...it was a pain in the butt, but I did eventually defeat it.

Yeah, I got 'em all. They're all a pretty decent challenge to get, but some are more challenging than others (I'm thinking the ones where you have to fight Wyvern and Ogopogo in particular). Totally worth it though.

Yeah. I played this game like a fiend and totally over-leveled so it wasn't as bad as it could've been.

I got em all, but it took me a while to find Cecils. Incidentally i still don't have Cecil and Kain's best weapons from the GBA remake (damn Lunar Odin and Lunar Bahamut >.<)

yeah but too bad they werent al little stronger and they where in the last dunegon i think they shoulda made an entire dunegon for all of them with them being a little stronger cause i love fighting secret bosses

I never knew there was top weapons in FF4... I only played through the SNES version to the final dungeon and to the underground in the PS1 compilation

I believe I got all the orginal top weapons, but never bother going through that cave that GBA version gave you, lack of creavity there and quite frankly the game got boring.

not all of them are really worth getting like rydia and rosas just the ninja(forgot his name) kains and cecils cause thoesare the attackers anyway

I'm pretty certain I got all their final weapons. Rydia's in particular was the hardest in my opinion to get; because it took so damn long. In fact, no one believed me that I had a weapon called "The Dragon Whip" because there is no physical place in the game that you can find it; and it is not randomly dropped by any monster - EXCEPT, if you fight 48 battles consisting of 2 blue dragons. If you fight 48 2 blue dragon fights; you'll get the dragon whip. My skeptical friends had to confirm this with Nintendo Power. This was like 13 years ago.

Rosa's Sage Staff increases her Spirit (White Magic) stat by 15 once equipped, likewise for Rydia's Stardust Rod, albeit it's her Intellect (Black Magic) stat that is given a boost.

Just a difference of 100 HP can be a matter of life and death when confronting Zeromus, especially when your levels are in the 40s or 50s. With the Sage Staff, the healing efficacy of Cure4 (Curaja) went up by 200-300 HP, which is almost good enough to recover most characters from Big Bang and last from the initial damage dealt by his Bio, which is either a followup of it or a counterattack.

I got them all and most of them were not that hard to get.
